My son let one of the cats in yesterday and they started fighting bad. Fur everywhere. One cat had a bite on him and I took him to the vet. They are brothers from the same litter they are almost 2 years old and have been toghether since. I don't think my other cat bite him but I really don't know, they have never fought like that before, just playing, now they start hissing everytime they see each other. Not sure if the unhurt one was trying to clean the wound and it just freaked out on him and the hurt one is just freaking cuz he is hurt??????? Do cats just turn on each other?

Clumping litter is dangerous (from what I heard). Regular litter is dusty, and leaves ammonia fumes. Paper litter gets all mushy and smelly. Feline pine turns into sawdust (really messy, and it smells like Pine Sol.
What should I use? Is wheat litter okay?

My cat's left eye has been dilated for 4 days.
The right eye is normal, though the left pupil is much larger then the right eye.

I have a puppy and a kitty. I'm already giving my puppy the Frontline, but...my cat however, I've heard that Advantage is better for cats, and Frontline is better for dogs. I read about advantage, and it says it kills fleas, but how about ticks?? So, which one is the best for cats, just curious what other people do, thanx!

because all the ones I chucked into my pond appeared to try but ultimately fail and sink to the bottom will I ever find a swimming cat or is this a fruitless and quite expensive task.
and I have got to go to a different pet shop now because the nearest one is out of kittens.

When I'm asleep at night, I partially cover my face. Sometimes I wake up to my cat staring me dead in the eyes softly touching my face with it's paw. After the first touch, it usually ends with a slightly harder swat. Is this some kind of game for him?

Right now the babies are only 3 days old. But when they are weaned and 8wks, I wanna find them homes.

What kinda food (soft/hard/milk/water) do they need and how much of it and how often?

Also, when can potty training be taught? And can they be neutered/spayed at 8wks before I rehome them?

Should I wait a week after they are weaned (until 9wks?) to give them away to make sure they are fully weaned and eating on their own first?

Any advice at all would be great. :)

We think we may be no more than a week out. She should be duue this week or next. We are concerned as she has not found anywhere to nest even though we have set up 3 places. Also we both work full time and might not be there when she has them - she is only a baby herself so are really concerned.
Also no comments on having her done. we believe everyone has the right to reproduce. The kitty just got caught on her first heat. We will have her spayed after the birth as would not like tosee her go through heat or pregnancy again. We have more homes than kittens too so please no soap boxes!!!

Apart from the low maintenence , no walkies, turning them out to urinate and crap in everyone else's garden, and make the most vile stink on other peoples property, what's the reason for keeping a cat?
They kill every poor bird, that they can stalk and catch, and then they leave a garden in a frightful mess with feathers every where!
They aren't socialable and only put in an appearance when they want feeding!
Because your property is running alive with mice?
I don't think so!
Let's get them on the vermin list lol.

My cat is 18 years old and has what seems to be a cyst below his right eye. It's been there for months, doesn't seem to have grown any or gotten any worse, and doesn't seem to bother him at all. The problem is, when he affectionately rubs that side of his face against me or anything else, it keeps bleeding....and I think it's draining because the most rancid, horrible smell I've ever smelled is coming from it. It's like a slap in the face. I can't even stand him to be close to me, and he doesn't understand why I'm pushing him away...I'm afraid to take him to the vet because of his advanced age. He never leaves the house or sees people and I'm afraid he'll have a heart attack! What should I do?? Should I try and get him an eye patch or something?
