I have found there isn't any 'normal' behavior when it comes to cats!! You have a happy, healthy, playful cat. Be glad that she is. And the fact that she is is worth the trouble it takes to wipe up some water on the floor.

Well, unfortunately alot of cats do it, i have 3 and all of them scoop there food into the water than scoop the food out of the water and eat it off the floor. they also dip there paws into the water after they have used the litter box. i know it is very weird and very annoying to constantly clean up, what i do is put absorbent place mat underneath the food bowls and it pretty much contains the water splatter and the food all over the place. i hope this helps.

This is normal ! Cats do like to play in water no matter what you have heard.
My cat will sit by the shower and wait until my husband gets out. Then she will jump into the tub and let the excess water from the faucet fall on her head.
Cats put their paws in the water and will drink what water is on their paw.
My cat also would drink out of my fish tank!!

YES! My cat does the same thing. After going through three different water bowls trying to find one he couldn't tip over we finally broke down and bought an auto-waterer, which has worked great for the not tipping over but he now loves watching it bubble when more water is released into the bowl, from one problem to another lol.

Cats are weird. This is totally within "normal" for a cat.
We've had cats that like to drink from running faucets, one that didn't mind sitting in the bathtub with an inch of water on the bottom, and a friend had one that liked to flush the toilet to see the water move!

Don't worry, it is normal. You are lucky to have a water-loving cat! I had a tomcat who hated water, he used to run away from the room when the tap was on and never got out in the rain. He even climbed on the furniture when we were mopping the floor. Now I have another one who enjoys drinking water from the fish tank - the dirtier the better:)) and likes to come in when we have a shower and get splattered.....cats are not predictable and each one is unique. Enjoy them!

Wow......I had a cat that did the very same thing. Isn't that wild. Sometimes he would have all the water out on the floor.
But he was funny anyway---I wish he was still here to scoop his water on the floor.
He died in December----I miss him so much.
He
died in less than a month after he got sick. I was feeding him the kind of catfood that was recalled. Really, I think this company knew all about this long before it was announced.
Oh, well---just enjoy your kitty as long as you can. Give him a kiss for me.

Yeah, I have had cats who do that. One cat just seemed to legitimately like drinking the splashed water on the side of the bowl. Another I think would try to get out a peice of dust or something that had fallen inside. It helps to get those water fountains for cats, because that encourages them to drink, and it has a pool of water, a slide or faucet like spout, where water comes out a variety of ways, allowing your cat to drink the way he or she likes:) You can get these water fountain water dishes for like $30 at a petstore, sometimes cheaper online.

Some cats actually do like water, so it probably is normal for your cat to be doing that. I seen cats that will swim in the ocean with you! So don't worry about it. If you want to know more consider asking your vet.

Some cats like water. My cat will put her paw in the water and lick it from her paw. or she will sit near a sink and she will look up at the fawcet to see where the water is coming from.
I have a friend up North and she has told me that her cat will open the shower door and he will walk in and her cat will just sit there and he will let the water fall on him.
