This question does not deserve an answer but I will anyway.
Your opinion on them killing birds is not true, they are more likely to kill what is on the ground then what is in the air. And if they are sterilized and fed well they are even more unlikely to kill birds.
They can be very sociable but it depends on how they were raised. And if you are a responsible cat owner then you would keep them indoors where they are safe from people like you. For if you consider them to be vermin then you are the type that will kill them.
You can tell this guy is a bird lover and wants to blame cats for the extinction of birds. GET REAL!!!

I felt the same way... and then the neighbour's kids dropped off a kitten last summer ago that had been badly beaten. I planned to take care of it just until the Animal Shelter opened after the weekend, but for some reason or another the kitten and I just "clicked". I've had the cat for a year now and she couldn't be more affectionate, loyal, or attentive - it's like having a dog without the fuss. She's indoors only, so she doesn't bother anyone and she's certainly not allowed to kill any birds! But she is very sociable... follows me from room to room, loves saying hello to guests, sits on my lap while I'm at the computer, sleeps on my bed at night, and if I turn off the alarm too many times she takes it upon herself to get me up!

To begin with, most cats kept as pets live indoors. Also, they're all not horrible and mean. Not all cats come to you when they're hungry. You can choose your cat based on it's personality, not on its looks, and you will be much happier. If you want a cat that follows you around and always plays, then choose an active and hyper kitten. It all depends on you decisions.
If you can't stand that cat you have, then put it up for adoption for another family to adopt and love it for who it is.
I hope you make the right decision.

I mean, unloving cat can only be the result of a mean, unloving owner. Before you blame the cat, blame yourself.
Plus, cats can't help it if they are still a little bit wild. They haven't been tame for as long as dogs. They never asked to be domesticated in the first place! Try doing some research before you ask such a dumb question, a-hole.

Sorry but with a mind like yours you should be put on the vermin list, you could say bad things about all animals including humans, should they all be on the list?

Yeah yeah yeah.
You've obviously never had the pleasure of owning a cat. Either that or you're too dumb to appreciate it. My cat was the best pet a person could have.

Because one day you'll be able to get it stuffed and hang it over the mantelpiece.
Alternatively they ward off the dogs, rub against burglars and other housebreakers (thus leaving valuable cat dna on the burglars trousers), have one over the children you don't with their smart defensive CLAW weapon system, don't try to sleep in your bed, and are fun to play catch with.

You obviously don't KNOW about cats at all. They are every bit as loving and friendly as a dog.....just in a different way.
I care a lot more about my pets than I care about most people....especially you!

dont generalize cats like that. the cat you described in your details is a wild, untame pet cat. tamed pet cats are not like that at all. but i totally understand what you mean about cats like the one you described because i used to have cats that were like that so we got rid of them(we gave them away). haven't had cats ever since. cats are independent creatures and yes, they want to be near you as soon as the chow shows up. i think thats funny though, they are not people. they will make me feel used for their own advantages. i dont think , however, that they deserve to be harmed. i respect all animals. YOU SHOULD BE WORRYING MORE ABOUT BAD PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD RATHER THAN INNOCENT ANIMALS.
