My cats name is Carrot, he is an orange cat. Everyone in my family hates it and says its to girly and stupid. They wanted to name him Stan. Which is better? Carrot or Stan?

I think you did a great job naming your "baby".....Carrot is cute......and whoever said it is girly.....well now, what about that red-headed comic guy CARROT TOP!
My cat is the orangish color as well & I named him Butterscotch......& he knows his name.
I had a male cat for 17 years....HIS name was Peggy....yeap....HIS name was Peggy. It does not matter what other people think.....it is what you are happy with.....give Carrot a pat for me & GOD BLESS

I think that Carrot is better then Stan, besides it's your cat, if you like Carrot and he doesn't mind being called Carrot,lol stick with it , it's really original.Just a little suggestion if you do want to change his name "Brandy" is nice for an orange cat.

Carrot!!!! I have 3 family members named Stan so I don't want to say I hate the name Stan... Personally I would name it neither. I would name it Tido or Lady or something

Carrot is better....I personally think Stan is a boring name. Carrot is more out there and its cute!
I also think that Stan is unsuitible for the color...I mean yeah...its better than bob or something stupid like that but Stan is more of a people name.

Personaly I would name an orange cat Garfield, but thats just me anyway... I like Carrot A LOT better than Stan!

Carrot is a cute name, Stan on the other hand is ,in my opinion not really a cat name..tell them to respect your choice..please.

My Family has always allowed the pet to name itself. I had a Maine Coon Cat who liked to sleep in the fireplace so I called him Ashley, even if my niece thought it was a sissy name. We have a huge gentile queen right now who will lay in wait for you and as you walk by she will pounce on your leg and bite it my mother called her Xena after the TV Show character. People think that I was crazy because no one will know what the name means. I like it
I think Ginger would be boring , It's been done , but Carrot is original. Keep up the good work and tell the critics that they can name their cats anything they want.

Can you reach an agreement and call him Starrot? Or Carran? Perhaps Cattan? Or maybe just Cat. Other than that, I'd go with Stan if he's laid back but Carrot if he's more active and playful.

I think Carrot is the best option. Stan makes me think of an old man with a bad combover.
