Your cats have tape worms. They get them from ingesting infected fleas when they are cleaning (there are other ways too, but that is the most common way).

Try Profender, it's a new spot on worm treatment. Or Revolution, it kill fleas, worms, and earmites in an all-in-one stripe on the back medicine. These can be purchased from a vet.

Can't beat the answers you already have. They are worms coming out of your cat rectum. If you have a litter box inside, collect stool samples, all cats and take everything to the vet. He/She will test the samples for exactly what type worm and give everyone a shot. Make sure all of them have flea collars and depending on their territory (in/out) be prepared for followup visits with the vet. I have 1 "hunter" and 1 "lover" but because the first brings everything wild (and now dead) home they both have the same problem.

Those little pieces of "rice" are segments of a fully grown tapeworm. Tapeworms are considered one of the most adapted intestinal parasites (meaning they cause the least amount of harm to the host). Animals get tapeworms from ingesting fleas. A flea prevention is a good idea to prevent future flea infestations, thus tapeworm infestations. However, topical flea prevention (Frontline, Advantage, Revolution, etc.) will not TREAT tapeworm infestation. To get rid of the tapeworms, you need to take your cats to the vet for a simple shot or tablet. These usually don't cause discomfort to the cat and are effective in killing the parasite. It's also fairly inexpensive (I had a female treated with a shot for $20). Please don't try and use any OTC worming medications as these are often inaffective and can cause harm to the cat.

Nasty! Don't touch them with your bare fingers and wash your hands often with soap! Take them to a vet who can provide you with prescription-level de worming meds- the kind at the pet store are not strong enough. PS You must deworm all 3 cats at the same time or it will keep spreading and you will never get rid of the problem. Wash your sheets, cat beds pillow, Clean your floors, vacuum etc etc (but don't use too many chemicals or you will kill your cats).

Ok, it's off to the vet with you.....and all 3 kitties..
You should treat all of them at the same time so that they don't keep passing this back and forth and back and forth...
Be sure to keep the litter box clean and you might even keep them in a confined area until the treatment is completed so they aren't re-infected from somewhere a worm may have dropped of one of them somewhere in the house...

Hey I have 2 cats and both of them are having the same problem. These are tapeworms and you should definitely take them to the vet because they will soon also have weight loss and blood in there stool if this is not taken care of. Good luck and I hope you get this taken care of.

White worms? But from where? Rectum or a wound? Do u follow the deworming schedule correctly? If its from a wound, u could use some maggoticide medicines.

You don't need to go to the vet to fix this problem.
But, you probably have to go to the vet anyway to buy remedies, or maybe you can get this at a pet shop and/or a pharmacy.
It's called FrontLine - spots on cats.
It's medication that you put on the skin at the neck, and the medicine goes inside the cats body, and cleans it for worms.
It's very easy, no pain or uncomfortable pills for the cat, and the worms will be gone in 24 hrs.
If they don't have FrontLine where you live, I'm sure there are other marks with the same system. Ask at the pet shop/pharmacy
PS: your cats should have this treatment every 3 months. Also, you have to treat all 3 of them at the same time. It's contagious for the cats and they all will have it eventually..

Sounds like your cats have tapeworms. Cats get them from ingesting fleas. If one cat has it, assume all the rest have too, especially if they have fleas. You can treat your cats for tapeworm with "Tapeworm Tabs" by Tradewinds which can be bougt from Petsmart or Petco - or you can get the tabs from the vet. You need to follow directions closely. But you also need to get rid of fleas, otherwise, the cats will get re-infested with tapeworms again.
