My wife and I are moving to Kansas from Nevada in May and have two cats, one male and one female. It is safe for us to give hydrocodone to them to ease their distress during travel? Please provide links to websites if possible.

Okay people . This morning I woke up with urine on my bed. Thinking it was my dog who did it because it done it two times way long ago. The funny thing was the urine had a BAD smell this time...Just a few minutes ago, I walked in and saw my cat shaking his paws like he got wet. So I saw some wetness on the pillows and I smelled it and it was urine...bad odor..just to let you know...and I knew it was the cat all along..

Now the thing is, my cat [male] never peed on anything besides the cat litter box and no there isn't no new pets, nothing...Could it be that the cat litter was dirty and it was time to change it [cat litter was put 2 weeks ago]? or... what?

HELP ME!!! & right now i dont got the money to have him for a check up from the Vet...

He was fixed about 3 months ago, before that he was peeing on my clothes but I thought it was because he was not fixed. He does not have a urniary tract infection (he's had one so I know what they are like) anyway he keeps peeing on things and recently my new chocolate satin curtains. Which I am afraid to wash... will they discolor? I do not know how to get him to stop. Have any suggestions?

My cat will chew on fake plants and just stare at me while she is doing it even if I move her away from the plants she will just look at me and weight until I leave the room then she will go back to chewing on the plants.

Ok so I've had my cat since december, and she has not been fixed, so obviously I know what it's like when she goes into heat .. she also likes me a little more than hubby. So today I layed on my bed she came to lay with me, then hubby layed down - with the cat in the middle, she was purring and wanting us to rub her belly and she was very content .. when we got up to do laundry she was meowing like hell at ME, naturally I thought she wanted more attention but I mean shes following me EVERYWHERE and MEOWING 24/7 for the whole day, She has a full food bowl, fresh water and clean litter - I tried to check for bruising or any signs that she is hurt and she's not giving me any, nor does she seem to be in heat. If I lay back on the bed with her she'll stop, if I even move an arm or leg she'll cry again. I can't be on the bed 24/7, what can be wrong with her! She's NEVER done this before and we lay on the bed with her all the time!

It's been very hard for me because he hates it out there and i know it. My parents are making him stay in the garage/backyard after 6 years of being an indoor cat and it makes me so sad to hear him meowing at the door and knowing that he is all by himself. Right now it would really just be nice if you could share some kind thoughts and be supportive because I am extremely upset.

my cat is giving birth right now and the first kitten came out a little bit but she started to lick it and she broke the bag so now all you can see is a tail. what do i do? i can't grab the tail and get it out. and i would think that if the kitten is in the mommy still that it might be in trouble without a sac to protect it. what do i do?

My cat recently got fleas, yesterday we got him medication to get rid of them which I put on him [It was some sort of liquid] anyway at the same time my dad bought us de-worming tablets because he was concerned that our cat is thin, he only weighs 9lb he is old well at least we think so, he was a stray that started following me around 5 months ago and we have since taken him in anyway back to the problem I was going to give him the worming tablets but my mum said not to give him them both on the same day so today I gave him the tablets however tonight he is ill, I mean normally he sleeps alot but he has been restless and when he walks he is wobbling about a lot which is worrying me. We have never taken him to the vet although I had considered it because I think he might be diabetic my question is should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to make him better? Should I try and take him to a vets tommorrow regardless of whether he looks better? Thanks in advance

As much as I appreciate animal lovers, people have to understand that I live in the country, and animals die. I am not going to take my cat to the vet, not because I do not love him, but because if I took every sick animal I had to the vet (except for to have them fixed or put down), I'd spend more money on the animals than on myself. Thank you for your concern, and I mean no offense, I just want to see if there's anything I can do myself to make him better.

There are some people who believe that it is kinder to let a cat have one litter before neutering her.

Some do not believe in neutering at all.

Some people think that all cats should be neutered, as we already have too many abandoned cats and kittens to find homes for.

I personally fall into the last category; but I'm just interested to see what you guys think.

I have had indoor cats all my life. They are happy, healthy, neutered, vaccinated and disease-free.

Every time I tell someone that my current cat is kept indoors, I am greeting with a disapproving look (particularly from people of an older generation) and told that they think it is 'cruel'.

My perfect compromise would be to have a cat run or cat fence so that my cat was allowed outside, but could not stray from the garden. I currently live in an apartment, so we do not have the option of letting him in the garden! ;-)

What are your thoughts on keeping cats indoors?

xx Emmie
