When they can eat and drink well on their own they're old enough to give away. That usually happens around 6 to 8 weeks of age.

Kittens should never be given away until they are at least 8 weeks old. Before that, they are too small and fragile to be away from their mother. It is also an important time where they learn a great deal of social skills and behaviors from their mother. 6 weeks is too early.

Cats are generally weaned around 6-8 weeks. Call your vet for advise.

I'd say to wait at least six weeks, but ultimately use your own judgment. There is no set time that is ideal for every kitten. They need to be eating, drinking and excreting on their own, without assistance from the mother before they are ready to be given away.

Either keep them. Because cats are cool. Or give them away young, but not too young. People that want cats want cats that are cute, and not too much trouble. I think.

most people give their kittens away at 6 weeks--just make sure they are eating food on their own and then they will be ready--regarless of the age.
