The cats HATE that hard pointy plastic "litter catcher" that Petsmart sells, and I certainly don't want to put down anything that will discourage them from using the litter box. I don't necessarily want to use small rugs underneath the litter boxes either, because I have an older cat who likes to tinkle on small rugs (I have no idea why).....

However, sweeping or vacuuming up litter everywhere is getting old, and it's not too good for the finish of our laminate floors. Any suggestions?

I have a 8 month old neutered male, who has lived with us from a young age. I already have a 14 year old cat and from the day we brought the kitten home he attacks her whenever they are in sight of each other. I though that they would get better after being together for a while but he still goes after her and shes started to not be affectionate with any of the family because he warns her off every time she comes near. Any ideas???

More details on my little boy Maine Coon...when he trills and meows at the same time, I swear it sounds like he's saying "mama." And he only does it to me, not my kids or my husband. Anyone else have a talking cat?

I have 3 cats, 1 adult and 2 kittens. I have been reading tons of conflicting info online about what kind of food is best. Is it true that cheaper brands of cat food are bad for them? I am on a tight budget but adore them and want to feed them the best without being broke. Any advice??

I adopted her 3 days ago and she doesn't want to eat her kitten food. I have dry food out for her and feed her canned food. She only eats a little bit of the canned food but won't touch the dry food. She is all about eating people food which I know is bad for her. Any suggestions. The brand of food is Eukanuba and natural choice.

Like, a vitamin supplement, or brand of cat food?

I use Arm & Hammer multi-cat cat litter with odor blockers, and I scoop 3 - 5 times a day (have three cats). Even when everything's been scooped, and I put more odor-eating litter in the box, it stinks in my apt.

I'm also using Febreeze and scented candles, and am opening windows with the fan on--however, this latter part can't last since it's already very hot in my area, and I have allergies.

I know, I just posted a question yesterday, but I forgot to mention this.

Thanks for your help!

My cat is very poorly, he is only ten and has been diagnosed with diabetis. I don't want to have him put to sleep but what will his quality of life and life expectancy be if I get him stabalised on insulin? He looks so miserable and in spite of eating like a horse is loosing weight. I want to do what's best for the cat, not the vet!

I have a 20 week old Kitten called Misty who is fully litter trained but for some reason she always goes potty but rather than just burying her mess she really starts digging and rummaging in the tray which knocks some of the litter on the floor. I use the plastic bags inside the tray she always puts holes in them too, basically she pretty much folds it all up for me with added holes so i make a complete mess. I have tried clapping my hands whilst she is going mad and i have picked her up telling her no but i dont wanna be too stern in case she thinks im telling her off for going to the tray.

I brought her home on Tuesday night. So far, since then she has only peed on a cat bed that I have (similar to the one that she was used to as her nest). She is acting perfectly normal, loveable and fiesty. The lady that I got her from said that she was eating the kitten food (bought the same brand- still nothing) and using the litter box (still hasn't). She hasn't even had a bowel movement yet, and I guess I'm just wondering if it's the stress of a new home, or something similiar. I know she doesn't have worms or fleas or anything of that nature. Does anyone have any advice?

i am very nice to my cat. and yet he still doesent come to me. i have tried food but that doesent work. i need a way to sneak up on him so i can grab him and take him to the vet. he is dying and i have no way to help him.i caught him once and parts of his body have turned cold. my friend says he has a certain disease that kills his red blood cells. so its like he has no blood. he is an old family cat and i love him like a child. at night when lying in my bed, i can hear his sad, mournful yowl. its breaking my heart. and he is panting for life. he has almost no blood now. so he is getting almost no oxygen. his whole body is cold now and hes almost dead. he wont open his eyes!!!! PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

(almost like pimple type bumps) in the area and her fur has fallen out in the area and has not grown back. We talked to someone at a local pet store and they recommended some high nutrient food so we did and it didn't really work at all.

Now just about a month ago my other cat started to get some of the same symptoms, but no where near as severe. It is just one little spot and most of his hair is still there. However it is somewhat rigid. And one small spot is gray (His hair is mostly brown). And when you pet or touch him in that area he goes kinda crazy. He lifts his head in the air and it looks like he is trying to bite the air(Kinda funny looking actually). And recently if I have my other arm near his head while I am doing this he will kinda sorta bite it.. He doesn't actually bite, but it's like he is chomping away w/o actually opening his jaws all the way so he doesn't bite. And tonight I was looking at his skin again and it is BLUE in that area!

Oh and on both cats this is loc

We took him to the vet at 12:30 last night/this morning and he said he had either eaten slug pelets or extasy!!! Neither me or my bf have ever taken any drugs but one of our neighbours we know does! I'm really worried about him, he is on a drip and is sedated and they're traying to flush whatever it is out. Has anyone had the same experience?
