That is a great question. I think it is possible but would take a lot of time. You would have to take it step by step. First by getting them comfortable in the car while it is not moving. Then it will see that the environment is not dangerous. Then after they are comfortable, start the car, etc. Take the time and work up to going on a longer trip. Hope that helps.

No if a full grown cat is scared of the car there is very little you can do about it. Most of the time cats associate cars with going to the vet's office and so they don't like the car. You should always take your cat out a few times in the car and feed him some treats and praise him before going to the vet so he associates car rides with something besides vets.

I think it may be possible, depending on the cat. Start off by taking them on short trips and reward them with a treat during the car ride and once you get home. Maybe they'll learn that nothing hurts them in the car and that they actually get a benefit from it. Both of my cats don't mind riding in the car but they have been doing it since they were kittens. Good luck!

Yes, our cat loves to ride in the car, when I can't get to her carrier and need to take her to the vet, I used to put her in a pillow case, ( if I had to take her by myself) after the vet, I take her out of the pillow case, once we are safely in the car and let her look around and roam around and she usually looks out the window or just lays down on the front seat.
Hope this helps

I wouldn't chance it and just transport the cat in a crate. It'll help the cat feel safer and keep the cat from interfering with your driving.
