I'm just trying to cut the very tips and she's throwing a FIT. Usually I just file it, but I bought special cutters and I want to trim her nails. Is this REALLY hurting her by some chance.. or is it all psychological?

my beloved cat ran away when we were trying to move him into my new house, We Looked everywhere for him and after about 3 hours of looking that night we seen him but he ran 10 houses down and jumped into a bush, We searched the bush ad he went into the backyard of the house so we couldn't get him, We rented cat traps that you put food in and when the cat goes in it closes them in, so far we caught 4 cats but still no sassy, We posted flyers and after a week of him still missing we almost gave up hope until just yesterday somone called and he was in their backyard, I was so happy and knew that he'd run if he seen me so we tried to get him to go for the food in the trap but I think he knows what it is and he ran for it again, hes still in the neighborhood and is hiding and I don't know what else to do to get him back home, I'm so depressed and want him back more then anything, he's very special to me, Does anyone know what else I should do If I see him again to make sure he won't run away

I have a 6 month old kitten whose stopped eating since dinnertime last night. I came home at 3pm today to find her breakfast untouched in her bowl. This is really freaking me out coz normally she's a kitten who LOVES her food and will eat basically anything and is always hungry. I thought maybe it was a flavor she somehow didn't like which I'd never fed her before, so I fed her some fish canned food which normally she loves (same brand and everything), but even with me holding a spoon up to her mouth she still won't eat! She won't eat her dry food either, which is what I've been giving her since I adopted her at 2 months old, and she always seemed to love it up until yesterday..

My mom says maybe she's just feeling a bit sick and in a while her appetite will come back, but somehow I don't believe that.

There hasn't been any change in circumstances and she doesn't seem stressed. She just looks like she doesn't wanna eat and is sad.

My cat has been very good at getting his nails clipped, but a few days ago I noticed he was holding his paw up and trying not to walk on it. When I examined the paw I saw that two of his nails have grown into the pads of his foot. I'm going to take him to the vet tomorrow, but I just wondered if there would be a quick solution.

We have tried giving them other plants to chew on so they'd leave the houseplants alone, which they enjoyed immensely, but they have an insatiable appetite and still eat all plants within reach. Especially the toxic ones that make them puke, like poinsettia... The plants we gave them they destroyed entirely, ripping them out by the roots and dragging leaves and soil all over the floor. The cats are two older siamese ladies.

I had a one year old somewhat timid cat that just disappeared we live far back from any main roads and it's a lot of open land....hard for a cat to get lost. the cat usually stays near the house. although, on one side of the house (about 20 feet away) is a moving stream. is it possible for the cat to have accidentally fallen in? any other thoughts on what could have happened? not that i know of, are there wild animals nearby that could have gotten it.

When our female cat was about 7 mo old, we brought home a male kitten. She didn't like him at first, but then she began mothering him (i.e. cleaning him and having him nurse on her). At first we thought it was really cute, but now the male is about 6 months old and she still bathes him and allows him to try and nurse off of her. The female has become quite mature now and he is coming into his maturity. We are going to have them fixed very soon here so we don't end up with kittens. What I want to know is when we get them fixed, will it curve this behavior?
Also, will getting them fixed drastically change their personalities?
Also, since our male has slowly started to become more mature, he is more distant with us, as just a couple weeks ago, he was a total sweetie, always wanting attention. Our female is still sweet as can be, so what's with the attitude change in him? Any advice will be helpful. I've never had more than one cat at a time before.

ok heres the deal, i got a really cool 7 mo. old male cat. lotta personality, happy, and affectionate, he's great(actually layin on my cpu desk right now watchin me type! ha). anyway he started spraying around the apt. "marking his territory" i guess. but i have since got him nuetered and it seems to have stopped.i live alone in my bachelor pad, and work full time so can't be around all the time. and he's also an indoor cat. so i was debating on getting another cat so they could be buddies, plus i like cats. now, someone told me he'd get jealous and or territorial. if it's gonna be like that, maybe he can just stay the king of his castle. or he's still young enough, maybe he'll adjust and have a life long buddy? should the new one be male or female, young kitten, or his age? what should i look for if i decide to do so? just wanted to hear some suggestions. i appreciate your time. thanks!
