There may be other reasons for your cat's behavior:
(1) Kitty hypervocalization could be brought about becuase the cat is extremely frustrated or bored or both. The boredom and frustration in turn induces stress. The cat may compulsively over-groom herself of become destructive. This kind of overvocalization can be addressed with environmental erichment stragegies: lots of cat toys; new scratchers; cat furniture (window perches; cat condos, cat trees, cat rus, etc). The cat can also benefit from anti-stress or anti-anxiety herbals that you can buy from the pet store.
(2) Attention seeking: This is a learned behavior fueled by the owner's positive reaction to the cat's vocal demands. Do you give yor cat your attention, feed her, pet her, goo over her when she meows? Does she know you will stand up and attend to her when she vocalizes? Then she has learnt that meowing will get her waht she wants. Solution to this is to start ignoring her calls for attention. If the silent treatment brings more frantic meowing, "sin-bin" her by putting her in her cat carrier for 10 minutes. Put her in there again if she starts yowling again. Do it consistently and pretty soon, she'll learn that meow-meowing will earn her the "sin-bin."
Alternatively, if your kitty is meowing for attention, ignore her when she meows for it, but praise her excessively when she just sits quietly and looks at you (for attention). This last method was what actually heled with my own attention seeking cat.

Did you go away for a bit? Even after being away over night my cat was always extra affectionate and meow-y when I came home. If I was away for a longer period, even with a house sitter, he would be by my side and begging for attention for days.
Or maybe something in your social life has changed. If you are spending more time away from home she may just need a little more special attention when you are home.
If not or, even, if it lasts any longer take her to the vet. Cats can express illness in so many different ways that this may be a sign. I know how difficult it can be for both cat and owner to go to the vet (Mine got so scared they had to sedate him even for basic check-ups else he'd attack everyone, including me! He was the picture of the sweet, cuddly cat at home, but at the vet... I was always amazed they never suggested he was just feral or I an abusive owner!). It could be something physiological and even eliminating that possibility is worth the trauma of travel and vet.
Meowing is always a pretty big sign of something as cats only really vocalise to humans once they are able to survive on their own. They aren't vocal animals but realise that we are. They meow to let us know they need something. They pretty much only vocalise to each other to mate or threaten.

She may just be lonely and missing you during the day, ever thought of getting her a playmate? If that's not it, you may want to run her by a vets office just to have a checkup done. She may not be feeling very good for some reason and she's staying close to you and vocalizing trying to get you to help her. Have a vet check her over and do bloodwork if nothing physical seems wrong. If it all comes back okay, get her a buddy, she's lonely. Also, animals sometimes sense things about us or the environment, maybe you should get your health checked too. Maybe she senses a problem with you that you are unaware of even? You never know?

Are you planning a holiday? Are you and your family getting on OK? all these things can stir up a cat. If you cant think of anything obviously unstable about the cat's environment, then maybe a trip to the vet will make sure it's not got a kidney stone, or some other illness brewing.

The cat is proubly bord and wants something new to do. Like another cat to play with or something like that. My female cat is fixed and she meows/wines to go out and sits and looks out the door when its open. Just like she did before she was fixed and was in heat. So i guess even though they are fixed they still have the natural instict to do that.

I would say she obvsiouly wants something either attention, food, etc..Being next to you is simply a way of her showing that she cares about you, and wants to be close to you thats a good thing, better than my cat she is prissy and will not come to just about anyone, she's not really socially mannered towards my husband, and I, or anyone else for that matter, its rare if she will sit on my lap or hubbies. Be happy :-)

Perhaps she is just not feeling well? I know my cat will start meowing and being clingy with me right before she throws up. Take her to a vet, she might be trying to tell you she's simply not feeling well.

There are kitty hormones in the air. In spring Cats get horny and your cat insinctually wants to go outside (ALL the time) and hunt for the source of that iresistable scent.
