According to my knowledge of the law, it is only legal to move a sleeping, purring little furball if you are:
a. making a minor adjustment to make him/her more comfortable;
b. trying to extinguish a fire (only if this fire will affect little kitty); or
c. trying to block the dog from sniffing, licking or nibbling your sleeping purring little furball.
Other than that, His/Her Royal Highness should not be moved.

In the cat world, No.
In the human world, yes - but you may get a ball of fury shredding your arm into the tiniest pieces ever.

in my house we call that "being catted." When one of us is catted, the other helps that person out by getting stuff for them if needed. It is definitely illegal to move your happy cat!

Hiya, Oh it's legal, but is it wise! your cat is content and trusts you completely so to wake it up is to face it's wrath.
