She's started this stubborn habit of only drinking water from a glass. Whenever I get a glass of water she won't leave me alone!
Not only is it unhygienic, I also worry that she doesn't drink enough. I hardly ever see her drinking from her bowl.
Any ideas?

I was looking at my cat earlier on and noticed she didn't blink, is this because cats don't blink intermittently like humans or perhaps they just take a long time between blinks so I didn't notice???

I rescued my 2 kittens when they were little. My male sneezes until he gets the snot out and they both weeze. The vet gave me stuff that stopped it, but it would come back. He said that they might just have a life time sinus problems. But I was wondering if i can give them a decongestant to help break up the mucus and hopefully ellimanate the them sneezing snot all over the place? They are completely heealthy otherwise.

I've been considering adopting either a kitten or a young cat for some time now, but I still have some questions. I want to keep it as an indoor cat, but will I still have problems with fleas and worms? I've never had a cat as a pet before, so what other problems might there be?

Are animals from animal shelters more susceptible to illnesses? I really want a cat, but I'm sort of on a tight budget. I mean, I could care for it and give it all its necessities, and of course plenty of love. But do I have to take it to a vet after I bring it home? What other vaccinations would it need, considering it's going to be an indoor cat and that I don't have any other pets?

Also, I live in an apartment. It's not exactly a mansion, but it isn't too small either. Technically, there are plenty of places to put a litter box, but ideally, they wouldn't work... Would it be a bad idea to put the litter box in the bathroom?

Hi, everyone. I have a new kitty she is just about two months. I just got her today. I have since seen her throw up the canned food I have for her. It is the top of the line canned cat food. It is not the junky stuff. She is really tiny probably about 2.5 pounds. She is very active after she throws up. It doesnt seem to bother her one bit! Could I be over feeding her, or I dont know.

I am moving to California, and I would like to take my cat with me. However, my preferred airline has a requirement for his carrier/crate that "Food and water dishes must be securely attached inside the travel container and placed so that they can be filled from the outside without opening the door."
I cannot find a crate like this anywhere, online or in a pet store. It also has to be a solid material.

Full requirements are at the bottom of this page: http://www.frontierairlines.com/frontier/plan-book/travel-info-services/family-pets/traveling-with-pets.do

Does anyone know where I could find a crate like this?

When is a ktiten no longer considered a kitten but a cat (IE how old are they when they become an offical cat)

My kitten(cat) was born october 19th, 2006 is he still a kitten, if so when will he not be a kitten anymore.

my other question is about food portioning. I haven't been able to figure out how much to feed him. is there an kinda equation for this.

on the side of the wet food it says 3/4 oz per pound (x2) for kittens but i don't feed him wet food anymore, thats only when he gets sick

He vomited a few times this morning and we suspect hes been eating too much (my other cat has this problem), I just want to make sure im getting the nutritional aspect down before i take him to the vet again, it stressed him AND ME out lol. He has no other symptoms so we doubt hes sick.

any advice or linkage would be gladly appriciated guys, thanks a bunches

Ok we have a tabby she is about 9 yrs old and is fixed. She has the funniest little habit but was wondering if it means something.
She will carry anything soft in her mouth a sock one of the kids little stuff animals whatever ... anyway when she carries it was will do this god awful meow.
It seems like she is carrying a kitten or something. Its so funny, She has been doing this since she was a kitten.
Just wondering what this could mean.

I've wanted to adopt one since high school but I thought it would be a bad time because I didn't know where I would be going for uni. Now in my second year of uni, I still don't want to jump into any decisions... My main concern is that I usually go home (7 hour plane ride) for the four months of summer. Would it stress out my cat too much to take it with me?

My cat began having seizures a while back. I took her to the vet and he perscribed Phenabarbatol (sp?). I gave her half a pill last night before bed and when I woke up this morning, her left eye looked kinda messed up... she had this white film over half her eye. I called the vet and they say to continue giving her the meds but I don't know what kind of effect this medication is having on her. I don't want this to get worst or her to go blind. Please help, what should I do?

We are unsure, but it is possible our cat has swallowed a 2 inch needle. She's a little kitten, still young, and we're a bit worried. What should/can we do to find out if she has eaten it, and if so, what do we do next? Are there any preventative measures? It's 12:15am can't take her to the vet at the moment...
Please help!

A month ago my daughter spotted a stray cat outside a Minneapolis hotel. For a month I fed it and tried to catch it with a live trap. After a large snowstorm the cat began to trust me and would not run away when it saw me. Once it went into the trap for food but the trap didn't trigger. Two days later I was able to entice her to play through the lattice of the hotel deck and she walked into the trap while I crouched next to it. Afraid that the trigger wouldn't catch, I pulled the front end of the trap up, but she crawled out. I caught her as she struggled to get back behind the lattice. When I wouldn't let go she hissed at me. I let her go, and realized that all the trust has been broken. The next day she retreated further under the deck but didn't run away. I left food for her but didn't try to catch her. Will she ever trust me again? Should I just set out the trap and walk away, or continue to feed her, talk to her and try to play with her before setting the trap again?

My cat is begining to get on the "fat" side and i was wandering if that would cause her health problems later on in life? She is now 4 or 5 years old. Ive tried catnip sprey, catnip toys, catnip palnts, cantnip bubbles, and catnip leaves, but nothing seems to work. She is very loving but lazy and does not put up an effort to play? How can i make her lose a few pounds?

Cronic renal failure seems to be what he is headed for. I have been to many of the websites and paid hundreds of dollars in vet bills. I cannot afford a transpant for him. He has some blood in urine has been on antibiotics and is very thirsty. Seems to have no real pain yet. Sometimes he seems to have trouble urinating but his bladder is not distended.

I am now feeding him his dinners as a soup with warm water mixed in his wet cat food to increase his water intake. He likes this very much

Any info you have may help me so let your minds think outside the litterbox :)

I have 2 new cats and they won't eat anything. I give them different choices of cat food like different kinds of dry food and one kind of wet food. They'll drink water but they won't eat. I got them from a shelter and wouldn't they eat any food because most of the food is donated? They're also sick (just a runny and clogged nose) so would that have anything to do with it? Can anyone help me with this problem?
