Your kitty just had major surgery. She's probably still pretty groggy from anesthesia, and she's also had quite a shock to her body. It's going to take several days for her to get back to some kind of normalcy.
Our kitty came home and slept alot. She occasionally nibbled some food, but not very much. She also drank little bits of water, but she didn't consume nearly the amount she normally does.
Right now, she's plenty sore, and just needs to rest. Within a week or so, she's going to get more active and will start getting her appetite back.
Just be kind to her, and give her time to heal. She'll be ok.

Spaying is major surgery like a complete hysterectomy for a woman. She will need time to recover. She is probably severely unhappy about being taken to a strange place and hurt and hauled around in a car and in her view mistreated even though you know it is for her best. Give her time to rest and recover and forgive you. Pet her gently. Talk to her. Give her something soft to sleep on. Her tummy may still be upset from the anesthesia too.
It is important to be sure she does not get dehydrated. PIck up the skin at the back of her neck by the shoulder blades gently and let go. If the skin goes back down quickly she is not dehydrated. If the skin stays up or goes down slowly she is dehydrated or starting to be dehydrated. Dehydration in a cat is very serious because the cat gets more and more depressed not just emotionally depressed but physically that is their systems shut down. It is also an indication that something is seriously wrong to cause it. If the cat is starting to be dehydrated try some broth or bullion or some cat milk like Cat-Sip. Do not give regular milk because that can give the cat diarreah which leads to more dehydration. Also try the juice from tuna or canned cat food. Put a little on her paw and see if she will lick it off which may lead to her licking a little from a small shallow dish placed by her head. The gell from fancy feast or simlar specialty food may appeal to her. So may a bit of sour cream or yogurt. Put a tiny bit of the sour cream on a paw or if that doesn't work on the end of her nose. If she is dehydrated and does not drink for you and is still not using her litter box please call your vet's emergency number or the nearest animal emergency clinic and ask for an immediate appointment. She needs help. If she is not using the litter box at all by mid day tomorrow call the vet or the emergency clinic and at the very least make an appointment for a recheck first thing Monday. That would be 4 days which is much too long for a cat to go without eliminating. Not using the box makes me concened that she may be getting dehydrated so please check carefully.

Hi. I'd try to find a website that deals with Siamese cats and see if you can get some definitive answers. I'd be willing to bet Google would be a good place to look. My kitties responded differently. One peed a lot--everywhere but the litter box--and had a urinary tract infection, the other one was a bit loopy for awhile and was OK after a few days. Oh, yeah, the one that was spayed years ago was fine after a few days, too. (She's gone now :( .) The other two came from the vet prespayed (don't know how they reacted). I also agree with calling the vet, just to be on the safe side. I don't think you ought to give her milk, though. It can be hard on a kittie's tummy. ( I spayed mine both after first heat--one after only litter of kittens. I wonder if your cat's age might have something to do with it? Just a thought.)

She's probably just a little sore. Just give her some time and space to heal. Same thing happened with my kitty. Just find a quiet place in your home (maybe your bedroom) away from people and noise. Put a clean littler box in there along with soft food and water. Soft food might help her with going to the bathroom so she won't have to strain and hurt her belly incision. After a few days she will be back to normal but you still won't want to scratch her belly hard or play rough- it'll still be sore to the touch. For the time being just keep her someplace quiet and check up on her and pet her gently every once and a while.
Thank You for being a responsible pet owner and getting kitty spayed! She loves you for it!

This is a bad sign. Sometimes when cats get spayed (or declawed) they get depressed and tend not to eat or drink. This could be fatal as the cat just gives up on living. If the cat hasn't eaten in 2 days or especially drank anything i would suggest taking her to the vet ASAP! Cats can become extremely dehydrated especially after any kind of surgries.
on a side note: If the cat isnt going to the bathroom at all (in litter pan or no) this could be a sign of something else.
My suggestions would be (besides going to a vet asap) water down some wet catfood, or maybe with a little milk if your cat likes and try to get them to drink it. Rub a little of the mixture on their *lips* and they should naturally lick it off, at least my cats do. This is how I had to feed my cat when he got sickly.
I would also suggest taking your cats tempurature. It may be a little upsetting to you and your cat but it gives u a little grounds on how shes feeling. If you don't know how give me an email. if its 101.0 - 103.0 relatively good. anything higher then that and go to an emergency vet (especially if its around 104-105 or higher)
Me may just be tired after surgury but you should AT LEAST call the vet, better to be safe than sorry, but if you didn't know that you wouldnt be here =)
I pray for you both

Try and keep the kittys food and water close to where she is laying. Move her litterbox there too but not near her food. Try coaxing her to eat a wet (canned) food. If she is still having problems on monday, take her back to the vet to be checked. Good luck!

Spaying is major surgery. You cat is reovering from the equivalent of a radical hysterectomy, and it is normal for her not to want to do anything for a day or two. Make sure there is water
available and give her a day or two.

You might want to double check with the vet, but I would say your cat is probably pouting. Open a can of her favorite aromatic cat food and place it near her and leave. She will probably get up and eat if she thinks you aren't watching.

She is probably acting out just to show you, but maybe you should check with the vet by phone.
