Vomiting started 7-10 days ago and usually only occurs at night. Sometimes I can see small hairballs in the vomit. Usually no food present in the vomit (very liquid-y, color of food). I just began brushing her daily, have switched to Science Diet Senior w/Hairball control and also purchased Laxa-Stat (petroleum based gel) that I put on her paws. We also have another cat who has been fine. I've started limiting their food consumption.

Should this do the trick? Any other advice? Her behavior is otherwise normal. Appetite seems normal.

I am now keeping her in a bathroom at night because she only likes to vomit on the carpet=).

When should I expect her to get better?

My Mom's cat just had 3 kittens yesterday, one died, but the cat doesn't seem to care about the kittens at all. She won't feed them, she never cleaned them, she carries one around sometimes, but seems to dislike the other. Why is this? And, since the kittens aren't getting fed, what can my Mom feed them? Thank you for any suggestion. We've never had kittens in the family before.

My 14 y/o Bichon started coughing this morning. It sounds like a dry heave, but sometimes she manages to get up some white phlem stuff. What is wrong with her?

She can't eat meat or vegetable proteins so we have to feed her this dry food which I know she doesn't like. I'm sure there must be something better than this - she has to stay inside all day because she is also allergic to fleas which she gets if she goes outside. I would love to make her life better, she is not miserable at all but I would love to see her enjoying meal time like the other cats.

My cat is 7 years old and very healthy. He has a lump, about the size of a quarter, on his hip area. It feels bony.
I took him to the vet and the 1st thing the vet said was "very interesting"- then put a needle in him to get sample from area for biopsy. The went on to tell me that "it could be" cancer. That he would eventually need to get his leg amputated or euthanize him !She has seen cats do well with 3 legs! She went on for 1/2 hour about some tumor like cancer- fibro- something. She got me really upset.
Then told me she would call next day with biopsy results. When she called me back she said they still did not know from looking under miscrope what it is. That is "may" not be good and the next step is to open the area and look at it.
My cat is acting normal- no limp, no licking area, normal eating, sleeping, etc.
She already took my $70 to tell me nothing! Now she wants to open him up which will result in stitches, limping, more $$$, etc...
What would you do?

for some reason, my cat constantly licks this area of bare skin on his back. He has chewed the fur off and is now licking himself so much it is raw and slightly bleeding. Nothing that i can tell is hurting him, because when you touch it he does not flinch. He doesn't have fleas. Is there anything that can be applied to his back to keep him from licking, such as pepper or ointment etc.?

If any other information is wanted then feel free to email me and i will reply quickly

My cat died in a car accident 4 weeks ago. I cried an ocean of tears - he was such a special character and I miss him terribly. Every time I think of him or drive pass that place where it happened tears roll down. It probably sounds weird, but he was probably the closest creature in my life and we had a strong bond. Some friends say that he was a substitute of a child. May be. it just feels like a hole in my heart and I am wondering if it would ever dissappear...
