Put the food out of the dogs reach.A cat can access higher places than a dog so you could feed her on a bench or you could take any left over food away, not leave it out, your cat would soon learn to eat his food in 1 go or you could feed the cat 2 smaller meals a day so there was none left for the dog. When you 1st put the cats food out make sure the dog is shut in another room until the cats finished.I have dogs,1 tiny,1 large that eat each others food if i didnt feed them seperate, the big 1 of the little 1 usually.I find seperation the best. When i had a cat i used to feed her up a hight so the dogs couldnt go in her bowel. She got used to eating her fill when it was put out & i fed her twice a day,2 smaller meals.hope these suggestions help.Good luck.

how does the cat give the dog the food? does it just let the dog eat from its bowl? how about feeding the cat in a different room to the dog, or feed the cat outside and the dog outside and punish the dog for eating the cats food? very caring cat, sharing is caring! good luck

Give food to the cat when the dog is in another room. Put the food away afterwards. Cat food is too salty for the dog and dangerous to his/her health.

the cat probably doesn't give food to the dog, cats prefer to eat a little then come back to it where as dogs will just wolf it down, the cats food needs to kept out of reach of the greedy dog

My dog does the same thing, exept to our other dog. We feed one outside and watch one in the house while it eats so after it wont go to the bathroom. Is your dog a little chubby and your cat a little skinny? Mine are. It's because of this.

I told my wife to stop eating it. After a while the cat gave up giving it to her.
