I have had her over a month now and just yesteray and today she has started to go to the toilet under the table near the television where it is dark and small. It isn't her usual faeces aswell. More smelly etc. But she is behaving fine.

Just for the heck of it fully clean out her litter box (wash,disinfect,dry) and use brand new litter.
When your doing this make a production out of it. Let her see you with her box. Then put it down and let her sniff check it and see what she does then.
Most cats hop in and pee/poop immediately. Some just like knowing it is all clean till they need it again.
Is her box in a clean, comfortable, quiet place?
If there is weord smells or a lot of commotion around her box she may rebel.
Also the smellier than usual poop is an indicator something is amiss.
Did she eat some "human" food? Wet cat food?
Just keep an eye on her behavior and eating and poo-pooing habits for the next 24-48 hours.
If it gets worse and a fresh, new box is not making her happy to potty in her spot then consider calling a vet for advice.

Ask your vet about the different fecus but maybe you should move the litter box to that place. Maybe she feels more comfortable there.
But gradually move the litter box to a different spot away from the toliet/table. This should slove the problem.

You could try closing the spot off. We had that problem with one of our older cats before.
Also, did you switch litters or food? My cat Creeper has a severe allergic reaction to one type of litter.

she migt be sick, she might not like her litter box, or she doesnt like the litter box where it is at.
