Sounds weird eh? I know I'm opening myself up for all sorts of puns but it's no joke, he's started the habit of lying in his own poop. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. One of our cats does the same exact thing. She mainly does it after the litter box has been cleaned. We have 5 cats and she's the only one I've seen doing it. I figured she just like the texture or coolness of it. Maybe it's even a dominance thing for her. She IS pretty bossy about things.

You're cat probably has comfort in its litter box i suggest you put the litter box in a place with a door ,like the bathroom, and take him or her out and close the door. you're cat will probably meow and scratch the door.

That's not natural for a cat. As a rule, cats are fastidious creatures. You may want to take him for a check-up.

Good luck.
