I have just adopted one more kitty. She is two months. Last month I adopted a male kitty. He is now four months. I just let them meet eachother and Shadow my four month old hisses at her. Follows her around the house and grawls at her. She and He keep there distance from eachother. Will there ever be peace in my house. Or what would be the best way for me to have them met. Right now I have her in a room by herself so she can get a little rest a peace and quite. What should I do???/

At first, you should separate them. Keep the new cat in a safe room (e.g. a spare bedroom), and do a slow introduction over a number of days. This method almost always works to teach two cats to accept each other - and yours are young enough that once they've been introduced properly, they might actually become fast friends:

Right now you are doing the right thing. You should have the new cat in a room by herself so the other cats can get used to her smell before seeing her. Then swtich the cats. Have to other cats locked in a room and let to new cat wander around the house. If you keep switching the cats back and forth each day for a week then try letting them all out. But keep an eye on them. If they don't get along give it time. Cats have to get used to others before they are friends. And if they aren't friends, they will probably have more of a truce than anything...
I hope your cats get along! Good luck!

The trick I know is to ped one and then ped another one with this smell on your hand so they get used to each other. It's best to control their first gatherings to make sure they don't hurt each other. Then you can let them sniff and interact more frequent. We used to have 3 cats, now it's two and we were worried at some stage if they would get along. The oldest was hissing like crazy. They have learnt to live with each other and even show affection sometimes. Good luck!

well normally when you have a new cat, its best to keep them in one bedroom for about two weeks. you should have introduced them from behind a bedroom door in the beginning but its alright that you haven't. just put them together for about half and hour a day and make sure that you are present every time that they are interacting. also make sure they have their own food and waters and their own litter boxes. also don't ignore either of them or favor any of them. cats make not not be as understanding as dogs, but they do get jealous.

You shouldn't really be having much of a problem here. Kittens will usually end up quite happy with one another. He might bully her a little and I am sure they will work it out.

I hope you are making plans to get him neutered - next month if possible to forestall his becoming really aggressive or start spraying.
