I have two male (1 yr.) and female (3yr.) cats and just this weekend I've had to replace their covered litterbox. the new litterbox is another enclosed covered one, but this time it came with a door so that when one of the cats goes in he/she can't be seen through the walk-in area. my question is, if I keep the door on the box, will they still go in and not be afraid of it or anything. the old box didn't have this and so that's why I'm curious about it. right now I took the the door off so they won't be confused or anything. my male kitty sniffed it when it was on there but then he just walked away. I'm just worried that if I keep the door on then one of them won't know to use the litterbox. both kitties are very good at using their box so I don't want either of them to be frightened of it. just curious. Thanks!

Hi. I have a female cat who is about a year old now, and she in not growing. She looks like a siamese but I am not sure exactly what she is. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a cat staying small? She eats and everything but she hasn't grown for like six months, kinda weird! Also, do all cats eyes turn green cuz her's are blue? Thanks

Three days ago I adopted a 5 month old female and a 7 month old male. They were at a local petshop to be viewed by a non-kill organazation in the area that brings in strays and prep them for their new homes(spay/nutered,shots, and desies testing). The girl has been hiding until last night when she finaly made an apperance. Then my other new cat jumped on her biting the back of her neck over and over anytime she came out. I also found her hair in his claws later on ( I'm going to trim their nails) Now she doesn't want to come out at all. What can I do to help them adjust to their new life? He was bathing her and being nice to her when they were together at the store that is why I rescued both of them. I think it may be jeliousy he is very friendly until she is around. I would hate to have to pick one over the other, anyone have any advice?

Sorry for the long question just lots of details involved.
Thanks

I have 2 cats that are both spayed. One is a 7 year old cat, and at night, she always meows loudly and carries around things in her mouth such as socks and small stuffed animals. My sister says that it's her "motherly instincts" kicking in, and that she wants a kitten. I've researched it and most sites say that she's just meowing of triumph. I am thinking of getting another kitten, but I am worried that my older cat won't like it. But I'm also worried that if I don't get a kitten, my older cat will feel "incomplete" for the rest of her life without a kitten. What should I do?

My 2 month old siames kitten still tries to nurse on occation. the odd thing is he is trying to nurse from the DOG! and a MALE dog at that! the dog just puts up with him but I need to know if this is normal and/or what i should do about it! It is cute though..this tiny white kitten curled up with a HUGE german shpard/doberman cross.

Also he does not want me to be out of his sight..he cries terribly if I move even just to another room where he can't see me..he follows me everywhere...I thought cats were suppose to be indepenant...I like the fact he wants to be near me but its a problem with I want to go anywhere...he will sit by the door and cry the whole time I am gone even with other people in the house.

a little 'capsule' that you put on their shoulder/neck area once a month.

but I was looking at all the flea meds that their are now for cats and comparing prices but doing that requires knowing how much you need to use.

I have 2. Both older cats. One male and one female. Are ALL the flea meds safe? For cats with health problems? One has a heart conditon and the other is hypothyroid. Both are controlled with meds. Would all the flea meds be safe?

She'll go into her litter box, do her business, then starts tearing around the house.

I've owned or been around dozens of cats in my life and never seen this behavior before. Any possible explanations? Thanks.

It's all weird but the the most unusual is window blinds, door frames, and plastic grocery bags. She's also puking every day now, clear bubbly spit. She's at least 10 yrs, are these signs of age and what can we do to make her stop?

My 6 month old kitten is really naughty a night, and likes to jump on my head and knock things off my dresser, so I usually shut him out my bedroom at night. However from about 7am (it's getting earlier all the time), he wails loudly outside my door and scratches on the door, literally for HOURS non-stop, until I let him or get up. This has been going on since I got him 4 months ago, and my only solution so far has been ear plugs. Any ideas? It's driving me mad. (And please don't say just get up, because I work late til late in the evening). Thanks.
