The normal thing is you bring her home and she cleans up after her awful stay in "that place". She will groom all over to get the v.e.t. smell off of her. She will lick her stitches and may even pull a little at them. Have a nice meal of her favorite ready for her if she is wide awake. She will want to use her own box again to relax about her business. Then she'll find her favorite place to take a nap. She will again be happy, until that day she has to go back and have her sutures out. She'll think "oh no, don't want to stay here again". In other words, she should be fine. She will thank you for it in later life.

She will be sore for a few days and a little tired but they perk up pretty quickly. Keep her in a nice comfortable (preferably heated cat bed) & keep her food close by. Sort of "baby her" a few days..she will love you for it and bond with you even quicker. As to what happens after they are spayed....they become more loving, less likely to roam & seem to want to snuggle lots with their owners. It's a myth that they get fat or lazy....they actually are alot healthier and happier. Congraduations on taking sure great care of your cat. Many blessings, Patti

I agree with gurlygurl! I had my loving cat spayed after her first litter & she literally started ripping me a new one as soon as I got her home. Stitches & all, she was mad! It took about 2 weeks for her to calm down. It's been a couple yrs. now & she's okay, but she still has her moments.

well on day 1 she will be sleepy and unsociable. on day 2 and for as long as the stitches are in she will not want to be handled much. she may calm down some, and put on a little extra weight. But that's really all that happens in most cases.

She's normally a bit tired and subdued for a day - not as active, may have loss of appetite.

Afterwards, she should be perfectly back to normal.

Some things might go wrong.

Make sure your cat eats wet food only.

Also, go to a vet every 2-3 weeks to check

U may want to make a comfy bed for him to sleep on

Make sure you don't touch him for a while

he may ahve trouble peeing(gross)!!!

Hope this helped! If not, e-mail or IM me.
