I have two male kittens (7mos & 3mos) and they both have nasty upper respiratory infections. YES I HAD THEM CHECKED BY A VET and they are both on Clavamoxil (or something). It's helping but I was wondering if anyone had any advise on how to help them get better. I recently had to put the third of my furbabies to sleep (he had a heart defect) and can't stand to see these two sick. I had them both in the bathroom earlier and let the shower run so they could breathe some steam. It seemed to help a little. I just want them to get better...

How do I get my cat to stop??

I caught my 7 month old cat attempting to pee on my dirty laundry blankets a few weeks ago. Now I noticed his unpleasant smell on my clothes, also. Why is he doing this? I don't know if he's spraying, because he was squatting when I caught him, and I thought their tail gets stiff and shakes when they spray. Its really annoying me and I need to know how to make him stop.

She's been to the vet a lot & she (the vet) doesn't think the cat is seriously ill. She thinks it may be irritable bowel syndrome. Right now kitty is on Hills ID prescription food. She seems better on this food, but they say it should only be fed short term & she's been on it 3 mos. Also, it contains a lot of bad ingredient including corn gluten & chicken bi-products YUK :( My vet doesn't seem at all knowledgeable about food. I'm planning on going to a holistic vet, but wanted to get input from members who feed the raw food diet. Thanks!

Let me be more specific. I bought a black light called a stink finder. I still cannot locate the source. Any other ideas besides the black light?

I have a very long haired cat, and she seems to have "dandruff" in her fur...there's alot of it and no, its not moving. So how would I go about doing this? I bathed her a couple of times when she was a baby but she's almost 1 now and I don't know how to do it!

The mats on the sides of her body and down her legs are like an inch and a half thick, at least, and of massive size (each about the size of my hand). I called the groomer and they will not even attempt to groom her. I also called the vet and they weren't even sure that the groomer who works there would shave her. What should I do? Should I try to cut her hair so I can see what I'm working with and then shave the matts?

I have 2 cats about 8 1/2 mths old-ever since they got declawed they don't like to cover when they go to the potty. They scratch on the side or top of the plastic litter box like they are scratching the litter to cover. They will cover it sometimes but not often. They were declawed a while ago so it's not like they are sore or anything. And to the people that are gonna cuss me out for doing that to my cats.....I had NO IDEA that was such a painful thing for them to go through and I felt terrible when I brought them home. I never had cats b4.They are my babies and I wouldn't wanna hurt them for the world!

I am going to get a cat, maybe on this sunday!that is wonderful.Cats are my favorite pets. They are sweet and fun to play with. What i want to know is how to take care of it and what would be best for them. EX: How many times a day should I feed him.How many times a day should I play with him. What should i feed him? He is actually my best friends cat and she is going to give him to me. Do you think he will get used to me? Will he miss ,my friend alot that he can die of sadness. Also my friend has another cat and she is a girl. Is the boy cat that she is going to give me going to miss them soooooo much? Will he resist it?

I would like to help her, I think it's a her. She's freindly and doesn't appear sick or hurt. I could take her into my home, if she's not sick (I already have one cat I don't want to get sick). Money is an issue, I can aford food and litter & stuff, but I can't cover any large vet bills. What do I do? Where do I start? Please help soon, I left her there and it breaks my heart.

For the three weeks my cat has been sick. He's had gunky eye discharge and he just hasn't been as active or energetic. We used tea bags on his eyes and now his gunk has almost cleared up (he still gets a little bit, but before it was closing up his eyes). However, he's still really quiet and sleepy and really doesn't have any energy. He sleeps all day and only moves around to go eat/drink/to the litterbox. After he's done, he always returns to the same place in bed.

He's not really antisocial, he always comes to hang out with us and likes to be pet even though he's sick. He's been interacting with the other cat too. Last night he was licking the other cat on the neck, and they've both gone outside for a bit.

But why is the so depressed? Sometimes his rear leg twitches too when he stretches it out or when he's lying down. I'm really worried about him! He's showing some improvement, but when is he going to get his energy back? And why is he so sad?

Thanks.

Every week someone's cat walks all over the hood of my car which I just cleaned. The cat leaves their paw prints all over the hood of my expensive car. I have nothing against cats but I always have to clean my car a lot since of this. Is there some sort of scented car wash that will discourage the cat from walking on my car? I have a feeling that the cat likes to sit on my car because it's warm on the hood.
