One of my cats Lotty is very nosy! She always has to know whats going on. Like on saturday I was trying to watch the eclipse with my telescope and she was jumping all over it and when i sat down to look through it she jumed on my lap and headbutted me to stroke her, her sister Tootsie is a little bit nosy especially when it comes to food she thinks its for her and she begs! so I have to put her out when we are eating dinner! I hate having to shut them out aswell because they jump on the window and stare at you and cry! So I always let them back in through guilt! Is any of your cats nosy??

I was just wondering if anybody knew this? I have two kittys both have now fleas. They are going to be indoor cats. Do they run the risk of getting all the worms? Should I still test for worms when I take them for there check ups?

I have two sister indoor cats who are now turning 2 years old. I have heard them make squeaky sounds when playing and they purr loudly but have never heard them meow. Is this normal? Will they start meowing when they get older?

last week she had alot of coughing episodes, we were thinking a hairball that she cant get up. well its been 5 days and she still wont eat ANYTHING. she started drinking water again, but nothing else. she has definatly lost weight. ive already taken her to the vet and the estimate to find out what was wrong with her was over 700$.. im sorry but i wouldnt even pay that much for ME to go to a doctor. im a college student and cant afford it. shes doing alot better but still not eating. any adivice? i was told to give her gatoraid but she doesnt like the flavor. i dont want stupid responces like "u need to take her to a vet.." already have,... and no stupid remarks, if you dont know anything on the topic. i dont have time with her to waste on silling answers, its been 5 days with out food remember... thanks!

A very sweet friend of mine lost her precious cat a few months ago due to feline lukemia (sorry about my terrible spelling) She was heartbroken at that time and swore never to get another pet again because it hurt so much. but than about a month ago she stumbled across a beautiful young cat (I would guess about 2 years old) This cat was left behind by its owners when they moved to fend for itself. So my friend being sweet and an animal lover adopted this cat and gave it a home. The cat adapted very well and she along with the whole family fell in love with the animal. she bought her a rinestone collor and a name tag. But just a couple days ago the cat got outside by accident and was hit by a car. My friend was so heartbroken that she held the cat for 5 hours rocking it and crying. She wouldnt let go. Now she says she will never love another pet again. Being hurt twice is just too much. How can I help her to feel better. Are they any poems for what she is going through

My cat had her kittens about 10 days ago, 1 in particular is a little weaker than the rest. The mother cat has moved her a couple of times to be alone with her. I found the kitten in the middle of the floor this morning. Is the mother cat trying to push her away. Should I be concerned! Please help.

I hope someone can help, I am at my witts end.. my hat has OCD and on top of violently pulling his hair out, he has developed this flea problem in the last 4 months, and I mean to tell you nothing kills them.. he gets monthly treatments of frontline.. we bombed our whole home, we tried collars with the frontline, fleas spray, flea bath, we even shaved his tail which seemed to be the problem, anyway he looks horrible, he has lost weight and I feel like nothing we are doing is working.. why cant we get rid of him.. I am taking him to the vet today, but she will just say he pulls his hair from his OCD, I am so discouraged, I dont know what else to try, I dont want to get rid of him, but in 3 weeks I will have a newborn , and obviously they dont need fleas! help

I will be getting a kitten from a farm next week, that I think will be approx 7 weeks old. I have been researching on the internet regarding food but am now unsure....
Is it ok to feed a kitten twice a day (morning & evening) meat, as in the kitten pouches and leave it with dry biscuits to snack on during the day? I would leave it plenty of water also.
Also I would like to worm it as it is from a farm, when is the best / earliest time to do this? and also maybe a flea treatment....?
Can kittens wear flea collars?

HOW TO TEACH YOUR CAT NOT TO POOP ON THE FLOOR

First off, do not be upset with your cat when you come home to a piece of poop on your carpet. They do not know better. Cats do not learn as easily as dogs or other animals do. Although, cats may have more knowledge than we know they do, because we are their slaves.
In order to gain the most efficiency in solving this problem you must detect why the cat has chosen to vandalize your innocent carpet, table, chair, sofa, etc. In doing so, investigate the premises. First, check out the litter box. Is the litter box too dirty? Is it too clean? Ask yourself, why would you do it? Continuing the investigation, inspect the food situation. Did she eat something bad? Is she sick? Do not leave out any possibilities that it was not her intention. If you do find that she may have just done the deed out of sheer rudeness, this is where my method comes in handy.
I have had much success in what I like to call the “Self-Cleaning” method. You find your kitty; the suspect of the offense, find the poop; the offense, and point at it in front of her making sure you have her attention.
Next, up, to position your cat to the right angle in which it will be easy access for her paws to come together and pick up the piece of poo. I never pick up her poop for her if she meant to poop there. If she was sick, I would clean it up myself because I am an understanding and forgiving person.
Now, you must carry the cat while she holds the poo, to the nearest waste receptacle. After it has been disposed, you sit down and have a chat with the cat. Explain to her why you do not want her to poop on the floor. Tell her it is wrong. Show her the litter box, and maybe if you feel it may be more effective, place the poop inside the box instead of just throwing it right away. If you place the poop back where it belongs then of course, she will start to think that maybe this is where I need to put it and nowhere else.
Another thing to keep in mind is your cat may be unaware that she leaves poop in the wrong place. For instance, does the cat have long hair? Perhaps the poop sticks to the hair and comes off at a later point in which it finds itself to be on your carpet, this is common. To help with this situation, you may want to clip her hair short around her behind. If you need to clip her hair, do it while she is relaxed; maybe she could be sleeping in your lap.
As a cat owner, I have noticed a vast improvement in my cat’s disposal habits. If your cat does not improve her actions, and you made sure it was not because of the other reasons, then at least you will get a good laugh out of my “Self-Cleaning” method.
