we've raised this kitten since it was 6 weeks old.. it's 1st birthday was february 14, so its a year now.. in human years..

basically, all this time, we just let our cat live, feeding it, watering it, letting it come up and down from the basement to the main floor, and letting it outside one in a while...

and now.. it seems like we cant teach it anything.. we cant play with it without our cat hershey running away from us..

we never hit or hurt it.. how do we get closer to our cat??? even though its been so long???

The other day at the Post Office I saw a lady walking her cat. Later on that day I saw her and the cat driving around, the cat sitting up and looking out the window. I can't imagine any of the 4 cats I have had, past or present doing that. I thought it was adorable.
What about you?

it may be up inside my car. I know I killed it, it couldn't have survived. I sat there stunned for a few minutes, but didn't have the heart or stomach to get out and look. On my way back I searched the side of the road when I drove by and there was no sign of it. Could it be up underneath my car?

I got a new housemate about 6 months ago who brought her two cats with her. The three cats used to live together when my cat was a kitten. Anyway my cat (Marilyn) didn't like the idea and left. At first she would come back at night, then every couple of days then once a week and now she doesn't come home at all. I see her in the street and she has now become a stray. We are willing to lock the other cats out if we can get Marilyn home, but we just aren't sure if that’s the right thing to do for her.
Do you have any idea how I can get my Marilyn back? Any advice is appreciated.

My cat had to be given away because he had a big bladder problem. We kept him for two years before we had to give him back to the vet where the vets cats live and other cats. he is happy there and we never wanted to give him away. I still cry every night for a long time. he was my most precious possesion and he was my best friend. that is why we kept him for two years while he peed all over our carpets and ruining them. we just could not afford our carpets being ruined anymore. that would cost a lot of money. i want a new cat so that maybe i will not cry so much and i will have a new frend. i loved my old cat and i wish i could hav him back. but i cant hav him so i want a new one. my parents just dont want the next cat to do the same thing bcuz then i mite take it even harder. beleave me, my cat and me were the tightest and i never wanted to let him go. we never wanted to and if we were to get a new cat, wed get an abandoned one. we got my dog from a rescue group too. PLEASE READ!!!!!!

My guess is that it's to fluff things up to be softer or to warm it up.

One of my cats has some sort of grease-like stuff on her fur from something she rolled in outside. It hasn't come off in a couple months, and I was wondering the safest and most efficient way to remove it. I was thinking maybe Dawn soap, but I'm not sure if it's safe for her. Any ideas?? Thanks~

then I put peroxide on it. He is acting a little strange, very needy, sleeping a lot, lethargic and he has diarrhea. I don't have any money to take him to the vet. His shots are current, I adopted him from the SPCA four months ago. Is there anything else I can do for him at home?

We have been feeding and comforting an old and sick stray cat. He looks like he is dying, vomitting and defecating blood. I see him suffering and it breaks my heart, but I do not have the $100 that most places charge to euthanize and cremate cats. I am wondering if there are any clinics or shelters that I can take him to that would euthanize him for free.

I have a beautiful and very sweet Persian cat. Fea season is right around the corner and I'm really worried about how to deal with it. She had been allowed outside before I got her so she would drive me crazy if I didn't let her out when the dogs go. She's so smart that if she wants out bad enough, she will scratch on the furniture and then run to the door because she thinks I'll get mad at her and throw her out. But the big problem is that the last two summers when I've put Frontline on her, she gets very sick and stays sick all summer. Most of her hair falls out and she looks like the most disgusting stray you can ever imagine. This last summer she started laying out in the middle of the street like she wanted to be killed or something. We'd go get her and bring her in but the first chance she got she was laying out there agian. I really think she has a death wish when she's that sick. I treat the other animals and the yard but she still gets fleas w/o treatment. Help!

My cat is deff. pregnant b/c of her nipples swelling up, sleeping and eating alot, plus, you can feel the kittens kicking inside her now. Can you estimate how far along she is in pregnantcy? Also tell me the best way to care for her.
(I am inexperience with a pregnant cat)
Wish me LUCK!!!

She is Siamese, one year old, just a little cat, gray face gray and light tan color. She had five kittens all seem to do be doing well but I was wondering if I should be giving her a special food. What do you feed mommy cats? Vitamins? Milk? Cheese? When should I take the family to the Vet?
