My three male cats have about two cans per day, plus a raw meat diet that I prepare for them.
Do not use canned foods that contain by-product meat. Wellness, Natural Balance, Innova, Lick Your Chops all have high quality meat protein in their canned food.

It depends. How big is your cat? How active is he? Is he underweight or overweight? Does he eat dry food too? You need to provide more information to get a good answer, but even then, you probably should talk to your vet. No stranger who's never even looked at your cat is going to be able to give a good answer, because it truly depends on the cat.
Despite what vets used to say, dry food is actually rather bad for cats, because they don't need that many carbs. Your cat would be better off with a primarily wet food diet, but again, you should talk to your vet before making any drastic dietary changes for your cat.

Well of you're asking how OFTEN he can have it, the answer is every day for each meal. Veterinary nutritionists have found canned food is much better for the health of the cat than dry food (contrary to the old "dry is better" line a lot people-including vets-try to tell you)
Cats are carnivores who need a high amount of animal protein (not from plants like dry) and less carbohydrates (found in dry foods). They also need the extra moisture that canned food offers, as they are designed to get their water with their food (wild cats do not drink water very often unless dehydrated).
Dry food should be used as a treat/snack or if you need to be away form home and need to leave food out for them. Many cats with medical problems like obesity, diabetes, and urinary tract problems have been helped greatly by switching from a dry diet to a canned diet.
Check out this link, it has some great information and is easy to follow:

I have two adult cats that get canned food 2-3 times a week. I feed primarily dry kibble (Wellness) and split a 3 oz can between my boys. When they get canned, they get a little less dry food.
I only feed holistic foods and that includes canned. The quality is much better, the ingredients are consistant and they love it!

I feed my 9 yr old cat 1 can of Iams daily (6oz) or 2 small cans of Eukenuba (3oz) - mixed with some water. He has a little dry kibble now and again.

Feed you cat according to how much he weighs and what the manufactures of the food suggests.
There should be feeding suggestions on the can. If not, go to the food maker's website. They may have a chart that will tell you how much to feed according to how much he weighs.

Cats really don't need canned food, they will do best on a dry food diet. The dry food has all the nutrition the cat needs, it's cheaper for you too. But the best part is that it's great for their teeth. Most folks don't brush their cats teeth so eating hard and crunchy food is the next best thing for their teeth since the crunchy stuff cleanses them. If you do want to feed him canned food, I'd recommend it only as a treat occasionally or in conjuction with his dry food, maybe 1/2 to a full can or packet a day. Good luck!

One serving. Should feed dry all the time, and only wet once in a while as a treat.

it depends on how big the can is and how much your cat eats, so maybe one can per day.

I'd say seven for each day in the week, breakfast or dinner it doesn't matter, but be sure to mix in the dry food too, cause there are ingredients in dry food that aren't in canned also it's good for their teeth.
