Don't. Cats do not need to be bathed, they clean themselves. Unless you cat gets into something sticky that they cannot clean off themselves, you should have no reason to wash them. Save yourself and your cat a lot of stress and don't bathe him.

Ok Ill tell you step by step. Because you dont want to be hunting or fetching something once you start .
I find the kitchen sink works the best.
Get the temp just right first. You dont want to be messing with that while trying to hold a cat lol Cats stay around 101 so make sure its nice and warm.
While its warming up, lay out a towel on the counter, ready to go. Have shampoo open and ready.
Fill sink about half way. This will help to keep the cat wet. I swaer it takes forever to get all the fur wet lol Hope you have a kitchen sprayer. It will make things easier.
Put kitty in the water holding her two front legs together in your left hand. ( granted if you are right handed that is) This will keep the cat pretty still for you.
Then you can wet her down really good first, then add shampoo. If its a flea shampoo, rub in for awhile to give it time to work.
Rinse kitty ....pick her up while still holding the front legs. Run her to the middle if the towel and wrap her tights like a burrito lol She cant get loose and you can pick her right up like a swaddled baby. then I put them down on the floor and try to get them as dry as I can before they make a run for it.
GL! The most important thing is to have everything prepared and ready for you to grab. Cats are not patient enough to wait on ya ;)

Cats are pretty good about cleaning themselves. If you have to wash your cat, the best way to do it is in a kitchen sink. Have your supplies ready. Hold the cat with one hand by the scruff of the neck firmly. Then scrub as quick as possible with the other. Rinse off and wrap firmly in a towel. Good luck!

First, I clip their nails. Then I wrap them in a towel. Since they are in a towel they can't scratch you. Slowly I expose an area and wash it, all over the cat until you are done. Then I rinse them and dry them. The cat will hate you for days, but thats the way it goes. If it is an outside cat you are going to have to keep it in until their nails grow back-you have only clipped the nails a little, so that won't be long. Their nails are their defense when they are outside.

Well, I have had up to 11 cats at one time (had trouble giving a litter of kittens to a good family!) and it's pretty difficult. Different cats respond differently. I always have to hold their front paws together when I bath them or they scratch and try to climb out.

The "best" way to give a cat a bath...LOL! If you value your flesh and well being you will leave it up to a professional groomer.

Depends on the cat. I had one that just sat in sink until i was
threw. But another i had to hold by the back of neck softly so
i would not get clawed up. I never sat them in water always
used a sprayer from the sink.

Very Carefully!! They usually don't enjoy this very much, so make kitty as comfortable as possible. Make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold. Wear long sleeves and gloves because kitty might scratch and bite.

I actually wouldnt. Most people dont because cats lick themselves clean. But if you must, I would wear gloves and protective clothes so you dont get hurt.

wear welding gloves. They go halfway up your arm and are a really thick leather. The cat won't be able to scratch you.
