Whiskas is a terrible food - the first ingredient is corn, the second by-product chicken and the third more corn. Iams, Purina, Eukanuba, Science Diet are also poor quality foods as all use the by-product meat. That is the feet, heads, even feathers of chickens treated with chemicals known to be carcinogenic and not the lean wholesome muscle meat that cats need.

Foods such as Natural Balance, Eagle Pack, CA Natural, Felidae, Solid Gold, Nature's Logic and By Nature Organic are quality foods with wholesome, human-grade meat for 60% of their formulation.

Go to www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hovfe's article titled "Why Cats Need Canned Food" so you know it is best to have the meat for at least 50% of your kittens' diet. She also has an article titled "Selecting a Good Commercial Pet Food" to guide you in making the best choice for them.

Siamese kittens are like any other kittens, except that you are lucky, you have wonderful extra friendly cats.
As far as feeding 5 month old kittens always go for kitten food. They should be getting wet food daily. It is better for them. They should have at least a can or two cans between them a day. Dry food is not great for cats, and wiskars is a cat food that is loaded with ash and magnesium, two things that will cause bladder problems later in the cats lives. You need a low ash dry food. Iams is one of the foods that is recommended, but there are others that can be found in good pet food stores. One thing about cats, they usually don't over eat. Give them their wet food, usually give them some in the morning and some in the evening and leave out some dry food and water all day for them. But again, get kitten food for the first year.
And remember one thing about Siamese, they are one of the two types of cats that need substantial attention. The other is the Himalayan, which is a mix of Siamese and Persian.

I would try a little better quality dry kitten food; Eukanuba is great, yes, I know it's pricey, but aren't the little ones worth it? Also, Iams, and Purina kitten chow is easily digestible. You may want to stay away from the canned food, or at least, not so much. Both kittens can easily stay on a diet of kitten chow until they are a year old. Siamese need the high energy foods & should always have it available & water, not milk, should be available to them at all times! Both my Siamese ( I have 2 ) have their own condo, where they stay at night & I fed them the above mentioned food until they were about 13 months old ( no canned food & they don't miss it or like it) and have switched to a high quality adult cat food.Trust me, they eat a lot!!!

Because they are growing feed them the best premium kitten food with no by products listed as the first three ingredients.

The reason they are not filled is because one reason: the food contains too much water and fillers, second: kittens need a lot of food three times a day. They are always hungry.

Try other brands of foods and more wet food, in small portions, two or three times a day.

And try a more natural brand of dry food as well as wet.

You will find these at your local pet store, not the grocery store.

This is a good question. And one I asked in the past about my kittens.

If the kitten is weaned, and already ingesting dry nutrition, then bypass forward and supply it some dry in a bowl, to "snack" on. consistently HAVE sparkling WATER attainable! Then, supply it some meat (for kittens) a pair of circumstances an afternoon, for awhile. while i replaced into elevating kittens (Siamese/Himalayan), that's what i could do. They enjoyed having the beef, yet quickly found out that the dry replaced into good for making their gums experience good. I consistently gave mine Iam's KITTEN at first, reason it fairly is small. while they could consume greater advantageous, I now and back switched to Hill's technology nutrition ordinary KITTEN, reason it rather is a splash oilier, and particular tastes greater advantageous. Whichever you decide on for, basically be responsive to that your kitten needs KITTEN nutrition for a million finished year!! grownup nutrition basically does not have what a turning out to be kitten needs. take excitement on your new infant.
