Yes. That is when we had our's fixed. She has been fine with no problems afterward. My vet said it was safe from 6 months on.

Yes... she can undergo the procedure now... poor thing. Take her to a good vet clinic that do not treat pets about to be fixed as if they were on a conveyor belt in a factory: beleive me there are such places! You will know such a place if you see more than 4 pet owners in the front office with their pets in the morning waiting to be "processed." Bad news.

Yes it is safe. She is in heat-please keep her inside, or you will have a kitten having kittens in about 63 days! That is why she is acting weird. Take care.

You should have had it done already. Common housecats should be spayed or neutered before reaching sexual maturity, which is normally at 6-9 months of age.

If she gets really annoying, you can always do the Q-Tip thing - it's supposed to be the most humane thing to in your situation, she'll be suffering otherwise.

Good luck.

That's fine...my girl was done at 6 months. But, they can come into heat that young, so maybe that's why your girl is acting weird!

She is old enough actually between 4-6 monthes is the best age. Younger is better because it reduces chance of cancer that alot of un-fixed cats get.

Yes its safe to get her fixed. Vets are always saying to wait till they are 6 months to get them fixed. Its best to wait till she is out of heat. I heard it cost more if they are in heat. And some vets will make you wait till they are out of heat.

Actually yes it quite safe, its best before their first heat, you can Spay from the time they are 6weeks up... as soon as they are weaned off a Mother. Whil your getting her spayed get her UTD on shots as well and knock it out in one shot!

Your cat is in heat right now. You can't get a cat fixed while it is in heat. Wait until all the noise stops and the cat goes back to normal, soon I would hope, and then get her to the vet asap.
