maybe she feels that instead of trying to glup down her soft food, she'd rather chew up the hard food because it uses less breath.

The only thing I can think of is taste, maybe she prefers the taste of the kibble; over the hard food. My cat did the same untill I started feeding it Friskies. Maybe another thing is that all cats are obligate carnivores, and your cat most likly prefers the outer coating of fat ( nutrient ) sprayed on them. Whereas wet food is mostly pure, more healthier but has less convenience and higher price. Also try to make sure its not vegetarian food that is in the canned, because of what I mentioned earlier, " Cats are carnivors, not herbavours." Many believe they can feed their cats vegtables but don't it will cause constipation. I'm sorry about your cats problem, but cats can also be picky try a variety of diffrent foods. Look at the bright side, alot of Pet owners often prefer dry cat food due to the convenience and price. Besides usually being significantly cheaper, dry cat food can also be left out for the cat to eat at will over the course of several days, whereas canned or raw cat food spoils or becomes unappetizing after several hours, so also make sure your cats food isn't old when she goes to taste it.

My cat had the same problem, and the vet said it had something to do with the slipperiness of the wet food, while the hard food, when chewed has a certain consistancy that the cat liked - or mine had, anyway. I hope this helped - but if you see trouble or a weight loss - make sure you see the vet.

Yes there is. Cats, as most animals, have to rely on their senses. You cat knows that the soft food, because of the moisture, will cause her discomfort because of the congestion that it will give her. Don't push her to eat soft food, it's probably better that she doesn't if she has asthma.

There a lot like babies in some respects. 1st stop feeding any gentle nutrition. this would take some days to reprogram your kitty yet in simple terms set out the nutrition bowl with the stressful nutrition for the time it would take it to consume the gentle say 15-20 minutes then while kitty does not consume it take the bowl and positioned it away so kitty won't manage to discover it. Then next feeding do an analogous and finally it particularly is going to come around to eating the dry nutrition. yet as pronounced it would take an afternoon or so earlier it is composed of understand that your unlikely to be giving it the gentle stuff anymore.

YEs , maybe its because she sneaks out to eat crack so when she eats soft food, she hates it. You should really think about getting a a new cat.

I remember my cat being the same way. The hard food is easier to eat and swallow for the cat. less sticky and the hard food is easier on the tummy too.

Simply wants to chew. Has difficulty swallowing the soft food. Imagine yourself with a mouth full of cold oatmeal. Not very pleasant is it?
