There is a cat called a pixie-bob and its said to be a bobcat mixed with a tabby. These cats get larger than your average domestic cat and have the short bobcat tail.

Being of the same family I would say that it is possible. There is one problem A lynx is much larger than a house cat. A lynx probably would look at the house cat as dinner more than a mate. But it would be interesting to see what the offspring would look like.

Yes I have known 2 cats that were the result of such breeding. Our vet verified that Bob was such a mix. He was white with one blue eye and one yellow eye, a bobbed tail, more muscle and power and size than most domestic cats and very smart. The vet said that his muscle and bone structure showed that he was a cross between bobcat and domestic. His "voice" was like a bobcat's call. He was very smart.
The other one belonged to our neighbor. I would have said that he was all bobcat because he looked just like one but their domestic cat was his mama. He chased dogs, yes I mean literally.
Neither was friendly to people other than his own. Both preferred the woods to the house but that may have been just what he was used to.

Yes they can. i had a cat that was part lynx. He was a wonderful cat very loving but if he didn't like you he would meow like he did and then pounce on your head!LOL! I loved my cat gave him to my niece because she had his father and he died. My sister though adopted him out! Oh plus you have to watch breading with the lynx cat to regular cats they have a tendency to have kidney failure.

It's unlikely but it is possible. Since you suspect this, when she gets farther along you should have her checked by a vet. If she is a small cat and this is the case she may have trouble carrying or delivering the kittens.

assuming themother was a domestic, she could easily warm up to the wild side ,depending on wether he is a suitor or a hunterand what he,s really hungry for and as for any offspring, lets just say this,( you wouldn't really want to be playing with the cute little hairballs)!
