Blinking is one of the best way a cat communicates with you... stare at it for a while, and you can get a pretty good conversation with it :-P

Yes they do, it may not be as frequent. I'm guessing it's instinctive not to blink as frequent in the wild as to be more reactive to their environment and maybe because of that extra membrane. However, specialists say it means they trust or love you when they do. You can try slowly blinking and see if they copy back, which I've done with mine.

Blinking is an essential part of Cat communication; hasn't your p@ssy batted his/her lashes in an effort to wrangle a bowl of food? Cats definitely blink -- -- their eyes & their tails are their main ways to say 'Hi' among a host of most intellectual musing.
Peace.

Maybe it just shows how intelligent cats are ... I heard that when we blink, our brain stops for a second, we stop thinking, etc. Don't ask me, I read it in a science book ...

Dogs and cats have a "third eyelid" a inner membrane that sweeps the eyeball and keeps it dust free. That is why you dont see them blink in the way that we do
