Yes it sounds like she is in heat. She will go around following you and throwing herself on the floor or sticking her butt up in the air with almost a howling sound. Yep she is in heat. I have two that have recently went into heat and they are indoor kitties also. They will have a couple of "bad" howling days then better for about 4 days then start over. And from what I have read on this site they can stay in heat until they are fixed or have mated. I explained to my 7 yr old that they were in heat leaving it at that and thankful there were no extra questions. My 4 yr old said what is wrong with my kitty? My 7 yr old said she can't help it she is hot. I had to laugh.Good luck.

Yes cats can still get in heat even indoor cats, it will stop once the cat is out of season

She is in heat. Cats come into season inside or out. You need to get her spayed for it to stop or she will do this about every 2 weeks.

oh shes definitely on heat. It doesnt matter where she is she will come on heat. You are safer keeping her inside. Shes letting off her scent and the toms will smell her even if she is inside.

Take her directly to the vet. She will do this every couple of months until you either spay her or she finds a boy kitty. If she finds a boy kitty, you will be the proud grandpa of kittens.

I assume your cat is an unfixed female. If so she is in heat and wants to mate.
