Do you have to be a cat lady to have 3 cats? I have two and was thinking of getting another but i don't want to become a cat lady, i just want them as pets. Is three any harder than 2? i am thinking of toilet training them, so i won't have to clean the litter box at all. Is this a good idea?

When evr I hold my cat and pat his belly, he starts to drool, like a lot is he sick or does he have some sort of mental disorder....besides his natural stupidity?

He's been vomitting many times a day and has not been eating. After the 2nd day, he started drinking water so that's a partial sigh of relief. However, since he hasn't been taking in any food, he's just been vomitting saliva.

He's been to the vet and they don't know what's wrong. They gave him a jab and some medication but it doesn't seem to be working.

Please... Could any of you suggest a reason or a remedy? My cat's so weak now... I'm afraid he won't make it if he doesn't start eating soon and getting better.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much...

My 9 week old kitten started hissing repeatedly yesterday randomly. Sometimes he is asleep and he wakes up hissing and it lasts about 15-30 seconds and he loses control of his bladder. It happens sometimes when he is just sitting there as well. He is not scared and when it is over he wants to be held. I worry that he may be having seizures. He never hisses and is the sweetest cat in the world.

Both my cat and dog passed away last year. This year I got a new tabby male ..he's a realy nice cat, but he's completely intimidated by the female cat next door. Every time she enters the garden he runs into the kitchen like a mad thing!

I read that female cats are more territorial, and this is the reason why she's trying to chase him out. There was no trouble with my previus female cat.

Anyway, should I get another dog or a cat to show her who's the boss!

Every winter for the last 3 years my cat loses his fur in the winter, I live in southern Ontario so it is cold during the winter. He doesn't lose all of his fur, just from the middle of his body back really thins out to the point where you can see skin through his normally thick black fur. It doesn't seem to bother him but his skin feels bumby and he looks terrible. I assume it has something to do with his skin drying out but I am not sure what you do for a cat with dry skin? Any suggestions?

Whenever I try to sleep, my cat comes and bangs on the door with her paws until I let her in. Then, a few minutes later, she bangs on the door again wanting out. She keeps repeating this through the night, and I get no sleep! I'm pretty sure she just does that because she knows it makes me mad. What can I do to stop her?

Last week I was forced to put my 2 year old Maine Coon cat to sleep. I had just napped with him, picked him up for a hug and kiss, I put him down, and he was fine. I left the room to get a drink, came back and he couldnt move his back legs. His meows were piercing, his breathing was very heavy. I called my fiance and he rushed home from work at 2am to take us to the 24 hour vet. The doctor told us this was something his breed was known for getting but I was too upset to understand. This is the worst thing I've ever been through, this cat was like my son and I would love to adopt another cat of the same breed in the future, I love their personalities, but I need to know more about this disease. I fed this cat the best foods, gave him more love than anything, played with him constantly, and catered to his every need. The vet said the only way we would have known about this was if we got him an echocardiogram, but even with that, is there is cure? It might be called HCM, but I'm not sure.

My cat hasn't gotten any of his shots yet. He seems healthy, normal every day stuff. Sleeps during the day and goes wild at night. He would meow like crazy at night looking for someone to play. And when we wake in the morning he would be all happy and be running around. I still worry he can die faster then normal cats
