Are there any valid ones? I just read a post and the author claimed that she has strong views on why a cat should be outdoors but gave no back-up. Being lazy (so you don't have to clean a litter box) is not a good reason, neither is the excuse that it's natural for them to be outside (being hit by a car or poisoned is not natural)..so I ask you, what exacly are the good reasons? Why do people put a beloved pet at risk?

2 year old male neutered cat, 7 week old female kitten. The cat wants to eat the kitten food really badly (which will make him inflate to enormous size... and he's already a big guy) and the kitten wants to eat the large cat kibbles (which don't have the extra nuitrients to help her grow). How do I get them to stick to their respective food?

we have a baby boy about to be born anyday. i have 2 indoor cats - one is 11 yrs old, the other 9. i have had them both since birth. they are my first children. my husband and i have been together 4 yrs. he's never liked my cats - always trying to get rid of them. now he sees baby as a good enough reason to have the cats put down. he has given me the option of him doing away with them, or me. my opinion is they were here first and i'd rather have them than the new baby. probably hormones talking. is anyone else going through this type of situation? please help! this my be enough to tear our relationship apart.

It started about a year ago. We took him to the vet and she did a hearing and vision check to see if this was it. Came out normal. Let me explain.

The first episode he seemed almost startled as if he didn't recognize me. It's mostly at night but sometimes during day he freaks out like we startled him, like he can't see you coming. Last night kids were playing loud music, and he hissed at my daughter and I was giggling and trying to calm him down and he like flipped and started hissing and swung out like he was going to bite me. Then he made a high pitch ye-ow sound.

The cat is a Blue Point Siamese mix (he was a mutt so not sure on other breed), and we had no problems previous to this happening before last year. Is it behavioral? Does he have anxiety? It tends to be when there's loud noises or when he is caught off guard. Please help if you have any answers, because I have the feeling I'm going to be taking him to the vet soon anyways.

I know the feeding, watering, and litter box deal. I've been with cats my entire life. I just want to know how to keep her healthy and happy if any of you have any cool and helpful tips. Also, get rid of fear, keep her playful, etc. Thanks!

She really cuddly, but then she'll just snap and attack me. She's fine with other people. I can't walk across the room any more with out her attacking my legs. I thought this was a kitten trait and she'd grow out of it, but she's 6 months old and it's getting worse. Help!!! Any suggestions???

He's only about a year and a half old, and eats a lot. He only eats dry food though. It also seems like he is in his litter box more then he should be, and sometimes he is just scraping the inside of it. Is that normal? I noticed the blood yesterday, it wasn't a lot, just a few drops. I just want to make sure my tiny man is ok!
