How long does a female cat stay in heat? Our is 6 months but she is little so we thought we had more time before getting her fixed. Anyone who has an answer to this, please let me know ASAP? We have an appointment on Tuesday the Feb 21st to get her fixed but if the Heat period doesn't last too long maybe we can put it off till she has passed it. It will be cheaper for us. Thanks to All Who Help.

I have a young cat, about 10 months old. At first she started playing in the toilet... just playing. Then she started to dump her water bowl. So I tried putting less water in the bowl, and that didn't work. I tried putting a towel under it because I thought she liked how it shined on the linoleum, but that didn't work. So right now I have a small amount of water in a really big cooking pot. She can get her head in, but can't spill it. So now she keeps getting into the bathroom and playing in the toilet. Does she just love water or is there some medical problem here? I try to keep the bathroom door shut and close the lid, but sometimes we forget... what's wrong with her? I'm sick of cleaning up water. I have another cat so I can't just take away the water and give it at certain times.

Last month and all her shots. She meows to me a lot. Where the two males seem content. I feed them canned food and two types of dry, kitten and regular. I have bought several toys for them and play with them a couple of times during the day. She really doesn't like to be held but for a couple of minutes and she wants down. I offer her human food like last night I had turkey and she meowed like she really wanted some but turns her nose up at everything I offer her. She does seem to have gas sometimes , I offer her canned milk. I am at my wits end. Got any ideas Please!

I have a cat who is very sensitive - he has attacked toilet paper when I was stressed at work, and had depression/weight gain after I broke up with a boyfriend.

His most recent anxiety expression is that he started pulling out clumps of his fur after a breakup. He got over it, and stopped, but has recently started up again. I am pretty sure it is because I have been busy lately and not home as much as usual. What can I do to reassure him/help him cope until this busy period of my life calms down enough for things to be "back to normal" for him?

We adopted a kitten..I noticed she has 3 toes. You can feel the bones of the 4th toe and feel where they fused with the toe next to it. It doesn't seem to bother her a bit..actually I have noticed she uses it to hold her toys. Anyone else have a 3 toed cat?

I have 2 cats. One tabby, and one orangey one. The tabby one keeps on biting the orangey one near the neck and standing on top of it. The orangey cat then starts making theses weird noises, not quite a purr or a growl...What does this mean exactly?

He is an outdoor cat, this was the 3rd visit to the vet and 2 weeks of antibiotics. Vet says because it isn't healing he wants to take a lukemia test because that could be one of the reasons why it's not healing. Could there be another reason, or could he really have lukemia? Help please.

i bought a 3 months old female kitten and she did not get any shots before. i called some vets and it's about $300 for 3 shots and $250 to get her spayed when she is older. does anyone know if there is cheaper clinic to get everything done (please provide address or telephone #)? does the kitten need to have shots before spay?

I am moving soon and I have been a little terrified. My cat is of course moving with me but I was wondering would she prefer I left her where she is?. I am moving her with me against her will, I know it is the only option she has but I still can't help but wonder, would she be better off not moving at all? do cats resent moving that much?.

i NEED to know if my cat has finally snapped. when we first tiggs' her like 7 years ago, she was a small lil' kitten. very friendly, and wouldn't stop purring(im not kidding) a few years later we got a dog. the dog (maggie) is really freindly and became friends with my cat. they were 'buddies' and would play and curl up together. i was so cute! but then a bit later, we got another dog. wen we first got him, tiggs was bigger than him, now there the small size. anyway now she HATES dogs, even her old 'buddy' and hisses and claws at any person besides me! to me she will randomly come and start purring and pawing, and she sleeps on my head! don't get me worng i love her, but why does she hate evry one, is it because of the dogs? she likes my friends, so she dosent hate everyone, but still, has she snapped?

somebody told me that it is possible to get your cats to perform tricks with the proper training. is this true and how do you get them to do it? my cats are both 1 yrs old and im lucky if i get them to respond to their names let a lone anything else! i have purchased one of those training clickers though. any tips?

He will lick my ears when I sleep. He has knocked over the bathroom trash just to try and eat spent Q-Tips. As an experiment, I put one finger(without earwax) in front of his nose and he was bored. I then dug in my ear and put the finger in front of his nose and he went hogwild. I'm surprised I still have skin on the tip of my finger. I'm NOT BSing.

Everynight when I get home from work my cat starts to meow like crazy. After a while she starts to jump straight up the walls and clawing at them. Does anyone know what is wrong with her???

My cat will just stare at the reflection of sunlight on the walls for hours. If it's within reach he'll attack it.

He also makes this weird clicking meow when he notices the sunlight. It's the only time he does that.
