How long does a female cat stay in heat? Our is 6 months but she is little so we thought we had more time before getting her fixed. Anyone who has an answer to this, please let me know ASAP? We have an appointment on Tuesday the Feb 21st to get her fixed but if the Heat period doesn't last too long maybe we can put it off till she has passed it. It will be cheaper for us. Thanks to All Who Help.

She'll most likely be out of heat by then. 4-7 days is a rule of thumb. Varies per animal.

You cant get her fixed when she is in heat so reschedule for next month. It lasts a couple of weeks. I know what your going through and believe me it only makes cats happier to have you scratch by their tail!!! LOL good luck and buy some ear plugs.

Trust me, I would get it done as soon as you can. The heat cycle may only last a week but it will come back very shortly. Just as loud and as annoying as ever.

My cat would be in heat for about a week. Which really sucked so thats why I got her fixed! =]

They are all different, but usually about 5- 7 days

Well, I don't have a female cat but I have a female dog. Her last a month or more. All I have is male cats so I don't know about the cats.

It's usually about a week; if you already have an appointment, go ahead and get her spayed - you'll be MUCH happier, and so will she!
