I don't think you would ask this question unless you are missing the cat. You have done a quick search, now grid off the rooms (area) and take your time. Cats can flatten themselves than slip one shoulder at a time through ei. cages. I was called about a cat getting behind a tub than into the dry wall. Another got into a register and into the duct work. In the basement there was an opening where the blocks met the ceiling and the cat crawed up between the 2x4s into the room above. Set out food and water and listen through the night. If you find him/her but can't reach, do not scary so it pushes itself further and gets so stuck. Wait a two days than get expert help. Sprinkle flour on the floor to check for tracks.
Write back with more information.

Under a bed is a favorite spot. Next will be closets or cupboards that can easily be opened by the cat. Some like to hide behind large furnitures or appliances - bad idea. Best and safest place is under the bed.

Not sure why you're asking this question. Are you wanting to provide a place for the cat to hide until it's comfortable in the house? Or are you asking where you should look for your cat when it's missing? Cats like to get under things, in things, on top of things, etc. Under the bed, under the covers on the bed or under furniture covers. They like boxes or cat furniture with cubby holes. They like to get on top of cabinets or shelves. If scared, they might hide behind the washer or dryer - they might even crawl into openings in the basement around ductwork, etc. If introducing a new cat into a household with other pets or small children, it is a good idea to provide some safe havens for them to escape to until they are comfortable. Don't leave a new cat alone with other animals in the house unless it is in a separate room, until you know they have accepted each other.

Where ever they can fit, that is quiet and dark... they tend to find a good hiding place and fall asleep... do not underestimate the hiding power of your cat... look everywhere! One time my cat crawled up into the interior of my couch he created his own hole in the bottom of the lining and climbed in.

Um...well, Lil Mama--I'd say, any place he/she finds where they feel safe and are not bothered. They'll usually go for the back of a closet or under a bed, behind a sofa, behind the entertainment center is always a good one--you know, the one where we really DON'T want them to go because of all the wires back there, but they do it anyway. Yep, just about anywhere they find. Mine goes under my bed.

A cat will hide anywhere he or she can fit into. I'd suggest getting an empty box out. Cats love boxes. Yours might take to lying in there. Put a couple cat toys in it.

Under a bed or in the back of a closet. Dark places are best.

cats need lots of space to walk around; play, run or do anything they want to do...they cant stay in one hiding place cuz they will go crazy...Trust me!!...i once found a kitty at my school and hid it im my bathroom and that cat was crying and going crazy...they are better outside so that they can be free and happy..
