If your kitten wasnt weaned from its mother, it can be harder to train. when i got my kitten he was only 2 months old, wasnt litter trained or anything. he hardly bathed if at all. I have read that cats learn from imiation, like if you show your kitten to scratch in the litter pan and things. Also if he is messy after going to the bathroom try using baby wipes. a friend told me to try it i didnt need to use no more than a couple and he was already cleaning. and he is now 10 months old and is constintaly bathing.

Her mom would have taught her how to clean herself . Cats are usually very clean and you will find that they do clean themselves after they go, just give her some time. My cat only started cleaning herself at about 2 months old. Good Luck!

Cats don't ever bathe themselves after they get out of the litter.

Cats are naturally clean and will clean themselves. They don't have to be, and can't be taught to do this. By the way, cats don't "wipe" or clean themselves are pottying - that's a uniquely human thing. She'll clean herself when she needs cleaning.

Hey maybe you should Let It Go and let your cat do her own thing. Maybe she doesn't like the taste of *SS!
