I really don't wan't her to have kittens, but I don't know at what age she will have her first heat, and when I can have her safely sterilized.

6 months and be prepared to leave her overnight. And bring her back a week later. But a least she can get her shots too. She will appreciate home. Don't cry when you have to leave her it will be ok, they are trained. Some give you a identity tag, so if she gets lost. Lot's of plus's. Good Luck

I work at a veterinary hospital and we spay/neuter kittens and puppies between 4-6 months. Older is fine, but no younger than 4 months.

5 months. Ask your vet to be sure.
