i have an 8 year old fe. cat and all of a sudden she wants to p in new places, not the box! had her treated for slight bladder infection and no she is not declawed or an outside kitty!

I just had my little girl spayed and declawed 2 days ago. I know its gonna take some time and i got pain meds for her im giving them like clock work so she wont suffer. But im wondering how long till she will start feeling like her old self? I feel so bad. I think what i did was for the best but i feel bad thats shes in pain. Dont get me wrong shes not overly hurting just sore. How long till she will be back to normal?

My kitty is in heat, and she is spraying her scent here and there. It reaks!! What is the best method to eliminate the odor from the couch and carpet (without having it steamed cleaned) ??

She is going to get spayed next week.

I just picked up my little 4mo old kitten from the humane society today. His name was Gilligan, but my husband and I don't like it. Our friend suggested Han, and I was thinking maybe Hersey since he is silky black color.

I spent 300 bucks in the last 2 days, I just got him form the animal shelter, he had his front paws declared and nuetured. He's not doing good @ all but is in Good spirits. I've taken him to the vet twice- they gave him i.v.'s and anitboetics. When will he stop vomting??

My cat just started going into heat.....I am going to breed her but I would like her to be at least 1 year old. What do I do in the mean time???? Is there anything I could do, I know she must be going through pain??????

My cat has extreme dandruff. I do not bathe her and she is an inside cat. I am feeding her Science Diet Nature's Best. She is overweight and I think that may be a factor because she cannot reach and clean her back where the dandruff is the worst. I try to brush her every other day or so. What else can I do to help her?

I was told that my a bit overwirght and is unable to reach her "butthole" to clean it...so sometimes her stinky poo sticks a little and I have to wipe her but for her (the things we will do for our cats!)

Sometimes, it is not regular poo, but kind of slimey. Could this have anything to do with her anal glands...do they have to be squeezed? hmmm.

My female cat is leaking a mucus like liquid from her butt, I took her to the vet and he gave me medicine to give her. I have been giving her the medicine, but it is almost gone and does not seem to be working. My vet is on vacation until March. Does anyone know what is going on with her, has anyone had this problem? Will she be ok? I am very worried.

I have been giving her liquid wormer for roundworms, but the worms are small and look like a grain of rice. Is this the right medicine or is this a different type of worm?????

I was given a long haired Siamese cat from a home that didn't take very good care of her. She has horrible mats in her fur and I was trying to cut them out tonight and I accidentally cut her skin. I am just horribly sick about it and I know that I will NEVER try doing that again. I put some neosporin on it and I am going to call the vet tomorrow, but is there anything I can do in the meantime?

if two cats that are related and one of them gets the other pregnant what will happen to the kittens except for disease and illness and is it possible for the mother to give birth to them as healthy kittens?

As I said, my 10 months old cat is pregnant. Here's the story. I had her since she was 2 months old. I kept her indoors all the time.

The problem was that most of the people (including my parents, but they're parents and their mind works according to the theory that cats + indoor = mess/extra work etc.) that I'm cruel and selfish for keeping my cats indoors and that I should let them out to play outside and to be free. So when she was about 5-6 months old i let hr (and her bro) out.

Now most people call me irresponsible for that. All I wanted was to let them be healthy, enjoy the sun, freedom, to play with other cats etc. it's not like I let them out of the yard. I only let them play inside yard limits, so I don't think i should be called irresponsible for that.

we have an 10 year old cat living in our house, and her mother died 2 weeks ago. the house is very lonely without her , so we decided to get a new kitten [ 8 wks ] the older cat is not to excited about this and wants to be in the room with the rest of the family when the kitten is in the room with us but everytime the older cat goes near the kitten it hisses and tries to swat at it. i just need to know a way that both cats can be in the same room with eachother and even get along with eachother.

I took my kitten to the vet to get his shots. Then told my that he had a tape worm and needed to be dewormed. I have 2 other full grown cats. Do I need to worry that they could possibly have a tape worm? I've never seen any worms in any of their poo.

we called a shelter and they came to get cats they could catch (in a cage) and they got them fixed. the bad this is they dropped the cats off at our house in the rain just hours after the surgery!
we couldnt help the cats because they were scared and dissoriented.
so, we stopped asking that lady for help, she said she was always gonna bring them back after being fixed.
we also cant phone the city pound because they euthanize them and we dont want the cats we cant keep to be killed!
we cant cathc them and we dont no wat to do!
plz tell some suggestions!
