How do you get your cats used to each other? I have a 5 month old kitten, and a 3 year old cat. The older cat doesn't like the kitten. I have tried everything I can think of to get them to like each other. But nothing I have tried has worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You know they tell you to feed for example a half a cup of food to the cat depending on its age or whatever. I dont measure the food I just put it in the bowl & refill it twice a day for them. They are okay my hint to giving them more food is an empy bowl. Is this bad? Should I measure the food?

I have two cats a 11 month boy and a 1 yr and 10 month girl. Both fixed.

I just don't know what to do for my cat anymore. It's been five months since our move and he's still not doing well. He moved from a big house to a little apartment. He started having UTI problems right after we moved in. He took amoxicillin, got a little better, but only for about a month. Then the UTI came back and he took Clavamox. He got quite a bit better, but still not completely. The vet did an ultrasound and ruled out bladder stones, so he then put him on an antidepressant. The antidepressant is in pill form and I have trouble giving it to him, but it seems to help some. But last night he got in a fight with my other kitty and he peed all over my bathmats again!! I'm so upset about my poor kitty. I'm not sure if this is behavioral or biological, but I'm thinking both. What is a girl to do, other than giving the cats away to a nice couple with a big house who can take better care of him?!

She just turned 18, so I thought it was just a stroke from old age. Her head is to one side, and she cant stand on her own unless I put her on all fours for her. She can lick up wet cat food, and she can drink, but it's really hard for her to control any kind of movement. Her sides sank in, and she got very skin-and-bone-like. I assumed it was a stroke, so I looked it up on several websites to confirm. Some sites say wait and see because the symptoms won't last, but others say they are permanent. I don't know what to do because she is very old, but I don't want to put her down if I don't need to just yet. Please help!

This kitten showed up at our doorstep 2 days ago and we have 3 cats already. One of my cats is very territorial so we cannot keep the kitten. We are going to tame it and give it to the vet so they can find it a home. It is a long haired, black, 2-4 month year old kitten and she is a girl. I am calling her Rae at the moment. Any better names? Nothing real common please.

My female cat is pregnant and her nipples are visible and I noticed that there was space on one side where the other nipple supposed to be. She has 5 on one side and 4 on the other. Is this a deformity and if it is, are there other deformities that go with it that I should worry about?

I want to get a kitten, and i figured, cats eat less than dogs do, they use a litter box, and thats it. After you fix them, get them their shots, there's no other expense except for if it gets sick or something...
any ideas of about how much it costs EACH MONTH????

I have a 7 year old female tabby.spayed
She has been litter trained for years.
I have had her medically checked out and no problem. She is healthy.

I have a continuous problem for the last six months. She will use the litter box then all of a sudden stop and start leaving her feces on spots hidden around the house.
I have changed the litter , I clean the litter all the time
I am frustrated and its really getting to me.

Any advice out there ?

Please and thanks

I live alone and it'd be nice to have a companion. But, I have concerns.

- Claws? Will they ruin me and my house?
- Cost? What are we talking?
- I work. Will they be lonely for 10 hours a day?

Help! My cat has been ill for 3 days and the vet doesn't know what's wrong with him.?

He's been vomitting many times a day and has not been eating. After the 2nd day, he started drinking water so that's a partial sigh of relief. However, since he hasn't been taking in any food, he's just been vomitting saliva.

He's been to the vet and they don't know what's wrong. They gave him a jab and some medication but it doesn't seem to be working.

Please... Could any of you suggest a reason or a remedy? My cat's so weak now... I'm afraid he won't make it if he doesn't start eating soon and getting better.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much...

Extra info... The problem is, I live in Asia and it is the Chinese New Year period here. It'll be public holidays for another 3 days yet... I don't think I can find another vet because they won't be open.

I have recently rescued a ferret and have two carts who are interested but not being agressive. I am wondering what would happen if it kicked off and who would be off to the vet first.

about two years ogo a got a ferrel kitten, i had a female cat who was eight years old at the time, the kitten didnt bother with anybody just hide all the time untill we all went to bed, then would come out of hiding, the kitten got a little more friendly in time, and might have looked up to my female cat as his mother, but i dont think so, because he always tried to hurt her but there was no growling involved just bitting, she died 8 months ogo threw cancer, , my ferral started howling threw the night, so i thought he was lonley, so i got a female kitten, he hasnt stopped howling, and he really gets on with the kiiten who is now 6months old, but he has taught the kitten to howl as well, so both cats howl for at least an hour, when i go to bed, and sometimes they start up again in the small hours of the morning, help please x

My cat is about 6 months old and she licks me constantly...she will lick my hands and my face. When I try to sleep she wakes me up by licking my face. I dont mind it at all..i think it's her way of showing affection...this is the only cat that i have ever had that's done this. I was wondering if any of your cats do this...and why do you think they do it? thanks!

He acts demented as heck. Like the other day he was in my plant-pot eating dirt, miricle grow soil, like it was cat food. Also he runs up and down the hall like the grim reaper has a chain saw chasing after him.
