Why do they do this? What do you think they are thinking?

Yes, I love it when cats do just about anything. I especially love it when kittens go to attack something and run sideways. Hilarious.

It is cute, but sometimes my little girl opens her mouth so wide and stares at me while doing so that it is freaky. She usually does this when I am mopping the floors, (she loves the smell of pinesol) It is normal, though I have only seen one of my girls doing this.

Actually, I find it a little creepy. And I love my cats.

Mine usually does it after he's been sniffing something "interesting".

My mom had a cat that was a tortoise colored tabby but her lips were black and when she would do that it made her face look like a black hole. [shudder]

Its adorable. When a cat does that it is actually smelling, or getting a "better" sense of something they found interesting, or even stinky!
