I got a harness for my kitten. It is not made for a cat, but a small dog. It fits him right, but when I put it on him, he acted wierd. Is that normal?
How can I get him used to it? He is a kitten, and I wanna take him outside

He is a 9 year old neutered male who is strictly a house cat. He is primarily white and has always had "delicate: skin; prone to cat acne. He is overweight and carries alot of extra weight in his belly. He eats the cat food (he shares with my 2 slender Persians) and then eats the dogs food! Any idea as to why he is getting thinning patches of hair?

We took in a stray cat and her 5 kittens. We kept two of the kittens, one male and one female. The female was always quiet except when she was alone. Yesterday we had the male neutered and ever since he got home she just hisses and growls at him and is just mean towards him. They always got along perfectly before. Is there any advice as to how to help them get along again or how long it might be until they do get along. Also, they tend to meow a lot, is there anything to do to help stop the meowing? They're both about five 1/2 months old. Thank you.

I am looking after my dads cat - 1.5 yrs. She is a beautiful long haired cat. I however noticed that she is having difficulty cleaning herself after going to the loo. I looked up her bum and noticed it was dirty. Besides her long hair, she is extremely overweight too. What can I do? She sleeps on my bed and I would appreciate she was spotless clean when she comes into bed.

Ever since i got my cat my sheet s began to smell funny.. i thought it was just the smell of cats. but recently i cought my cat urinating on my blankets. he scratched at it the way he does at litter, squated, and began urinating! i was sooo shocked i tapped his behind. he looked at me as if saying "whats wrong with you im using the bathroom!?" then took off. althoug he does use the litter box, he still wets my sheets. i do use a lot of fabreeze on my sheets could that be it? i cought him urinating on my bed last night so i changed the sheets, this morning i woke up to him wetting my sheets (while i was under them!) irregardless to say: Why wwould be be doing this? Can i get him to stop? and Should i coundult a Vet in regeards to his bed wetting?

Almost every week my cat spits up a hairball or something else, and I've even gotten her food specifically for hairball control, but she still gets sick. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

My female cat does it also. PS. they are siblings-brother + sister.
They are fixed.

Yes my cat is fixed. Forgot to mention that. I do not want to get rid of her. Animals are like kids, you get them and they are your family. We had a dog for 12 years and had to put her down, so I know all about responsibility. She does not like to be picked up and cuddled either and I give her lots of attention when she lets me. Any other suggestions??

I work at an animal clinic. Last year, I rescued an eight-year old male cat, abandoned. He stayed with us at the clinic for almost two months, regaining his weight and getting healthy because he had upper respiratory. We did a T4 check and discovered he is hyperthyroid. I adopted him and he lives with me. He is on tapazole for the hyperthyroid, but has started pulling out his fur on his legs and lower back. Not big clumps of it, but it is noticeably bald in some areas. He also twitches a little from time to time. The vet I work with said it is neurological and suggested kitty valium, but I don't want him on that unless he gets bad. Any suggestions for something to help him out?

My kitty is doing this, and I don't know if it is a psychological reason or if she's just doing it because or if she is sick. Is it one of these or is it another reason?

My cat is very annoying. She is 1 1/2 yrs. we can't let her in our rooms because she just keeps us up all night meowing and playing. We try to keep her up so that she is tired at night but it doesn't work. My husband wants to get rid of her but my son doesn't. She is a Torby (a tortiseshell/tabby mix) and I heard that they are crazy cats. Will she settle down and not be such a pain or do we give her to a farm? HELP!!!

he could not keep it open. the vet now said it was glucoma and we rushed him to emergency hospital. now the eye specialist suspects its a tumor . she wants to do blood tests an ex ray to see if it spread if it did spread she wants to put him down. If it did not spread she wants to take out the eye and stich him up and then test the eye which could still be cancerous. We are very confused as results are going to come today Help!!
