he could not keep it open. the vet now said it was glucoma and we rushed him to emergency hospital. now the eye specialist suspects its a tumor . she wants to do blood tests an ex ray to see if it spread if it did spread she wants to put him down. If it did not spread she wants to take out the eye and stich him up and then test the eye which could still be cancerous. We are very confused as results are going to come today Help!!

ok, deep breath. I know this is a lot to take in at one time, but lets take it step by step.

First, let the doctor run a blood test. She should be able to get some idea from that what is going on and an xray will allow her to see if it is cancer if it has spread. It could be a benign tumor and once it is removed that might be all there is to that. First, let's see what you're dealing with.

If it is cancerous, then the prognosis is probably not going to be good, which is why she would suggest euthanasia. It would probably mean that the cancer would not be a good candidate for chemotherapy.

First, see what the test results show, then you'll be able to discuss the findings with the doctor and then you'll be able to make a decision based upon what the tests have shown.

Prayer to you and your cat...

no one here can help you, listen to the vets, and hope the results are good. your kitty got some bad vet care in the beginning and I am sorry, but if it was a tumor it was going to spread anyway. Hopefully it is gone now and the kitty will be just a one eyed cat and live out his life with you loving you.
