A kitten should be neutered before they reach sexual maturity which is usually between 6 and 8 months old. Most vets suggest having them neutered by 6 months. As long as the testicles have descended he should be fine to be neutered. There's always the possibility that both testicles won't descend making the procedure take a little longer than usual. If a cat is neutered after he's already started spraying there is the chance that he will still try to mark certain areas, so have him fixed before this happens. Hope this helps.

The sooner the better for neutering so the cat does not populate the earth. Ask a vet for the exact age but around six months or so. Spraying is territory making, very natural for most animals. Usually when a male is neutered, the spraying stops, at least in the house. Make sure you clean the area with WHITE vinegar to remove the smell (and the stain) so he won't go back there. If the problem continues, he may have a bladder infection and needs to see his vet.

Neutering should stop the spraying within a couple weeks if the kitten has already begun to spray. It takes time for the male hormones to leave the kitten's system, but once they do, the spraying should stop. Kittens can be neutered as early as 8 weeks of age as long as they are healthy and in good condition.

No they cannot actually spray after being neutered but may still do the behavioral actions. So it may look like there spraying but nothings really happening and no icky smell. A good age to neuter is 8-16 weeks it used to be like 4 months but medical advancements mean sooner procedures. It is an easy procedure and takes maybe 20 min. for the actual surgery. while older cats (over 8yr) can be neutered and I would still recommend it at this age the procedure takes a bit longer. Hope this helped!!!

He shouldn't spray after neutering. I have a 5 month old and a 3 month old kitties, both males, at home. I was told by the vet that you should wait until the kitten is about 6 months old. If you want to get it done sooner wait until they are at least 4 LBS.
