Keep her, CT and Black Betty will get used to her eventually and she's so old she will croak it soon anyway! And in the meantime wear protective clothing on your hands and face everytime you go near the little brat. When can I come round and see whooaaa black betty bamaram whoooaa black betty bamaram

Hi
Do you have a CATSociety in your area? try them if you do they are great for finding homes. They or other agencies for the care and housing of homeless cats often have websites that you could advertise for free - with pics.
However, I would feel better doing it myself so that you know whether the cat was homed and went to a good home.
Why not advertise (papers/local and posters) with a big beautiful picture and write up about the cat with the full background - to tug a few heart strings.
Maybe even try some aged care facilities - some of them are opening there doors to animals for company and stress relief for the elderly there - but that depends on states and countries.
Or you could adopt him yourself????? :-) I adopted a male stray that I had for 10 years and somehow ended up a few years ago with another - I was going to find a home for him - but he was sooo not persian or pretty and was not housetrained -now he is and very lovely.
Good luck - hey just believe that you will find the cat the perfect home and that the right person will come to you....a little optimism and faith can go a long way....................
Lots of people like persian cats and quite older ones too you'll find somebody.
Good luck

try to look for a breed specific rescue just for persians, I dont understand how rescues can be so picky about accepting animals, its our policy in our shelter to take in all animals regaurdless of age or breed, and try our hardest to find them good homes. I am shocked at the what I have been hearing lately on this Q & A sight that no rescues will take the animals. If you are willing to drive and do research I am sure there has to be a Persian specific rescue close or nearer to you maybe in a close major city. Call some no-kill shelters. What is the reasons your are giving a elderly persian away? How elderly is she?

Check out 'Arnies mum' but if you have no joy just keep her. Everyone in the house will get use to her and she will you too, the change will take a little getting used to. Once she feels part of the family, she will calm down. Trust me, i have four dogs and five cats all of which i have rescued. They do all learn to get on together eventually. Hang on in there if you can!

what is the REALLY good reason that you have to rehome your elderly cat. the move itself and trying to get use to a new environment and family will be enough to kill it probably. Poor thing, too bad your owner doesn't know what is best for you and love you.

If you have a pet store near by, make a card & post it on the bulletin board. Also animal hospitals & veterniarians.Good luck-I love cats...Also search the web for shelters, there could be one nearby.

well if you have a a friend or know some one in your family who might be willing to take your cat you should ask them first this way if someone close to you takes care of it you can still visit your cat and see how its progress in a new home is.
