I had a cat a while ago that acted just like a dog and not like a regular cat. She followed me around, came when I called her, sat on command, and played all day. I'm thinking about getting a new cat. What breeds act like her?

I've heard Bengals are very dog like. I'm sure there are "plain" cats that posses these traits as well, it just might take a bit of looking.

so as: a million. Siamese 2. Burmese 3. American SH 4. Ragdoll 5. unique 6. Sphynx 7. Persian yet different than for the Siamese or Burmese, there are different cats i might choose. I definitely would not own any of them previous the 1st 2 for countless motives. I choose my Ocicats and additionally Cornish Rex, Oriental SH, Australian Mist, Tonkinese, Russian Blues if I have been finding out on the breeds.

Maine Coons love to act like dogs and Norwegian Forest cats even fetch and do a lot of the things dogs do. My husband had a Maine Coon that everyone thought was a dog-loved everyone and wanted to be the center of attention. I know a fantastic Forest cat who fetches the mail and "barks" when someone comes to the dog, he also, swims.

Bengal. I have one. He plays fetch, he sits on command, he's fascinated with water, he follows me around and tries to participate in household chores. He is also very vocal, energetic and playful.

"The Bengal can be very mischievous and boisterous. They are active cats always ready to play. You can easily leash train them, and teach them to fetch, and play other games. They are also very vocal cats, always eager for human companionship and approval. The Bengal mixes well with children and other animals. With their sleek, soft coat, which is more like a pelt than ordinary cat fur, sufferers of allergies claim that the Bengal brings out fewer reactions.

The Bengal is also unique in that these cats actually love and enjoy water. They will play for hours with a slightly running tap. The Bengal will delight children and adults alike with its playful antics with water.

The Bengal cat will grace any home and be a loyal life companion. They are also very people oriented cats, so it may be worth considering obtaining two Bengals for company if you are likely to be out of the home all day. You will find that they are very "dog-like" in personality, following you from room to room in your home and always greeting you with a loving welcome. Whether male or female, this exotic, unique cat will hold a place in your heart forever like no cat as ever done before." -http://www.bengals.freeuk.com/bengals.html
