I know this sounds strange but give him a bath in gasoline.
It will kill off all the fleas quickly.

Take you dog to the vet if your dog has fleas for a long period of time they can get under the skin. This can cause some serious blood disorders.
If you can not afford to take your dog to the vet use some of the better flea repellents. Also put salt down around your house if the dog comes inside, this will dehydrate all of the fleas and their eggs, this must be done several times but with no effect on children or your pet. Bath your dog in flea shampoo before applying the medication.
good luck with your pet care.

You need to use a flea product that is approved by a vet like Advantage or Advatnix. The over the counter ones do not work. Your dog needs to be on a flea product year around and you need to clean all carpets, bedding furniture. Flea eggs and larvae can live in your house for years and hatch out .

Fleas are nausty and tricky. Here is what I have done though. You not only have to treat the animal but his surroundings too. All at once wash any bedding, use a flea bomb or to get rid of them in the house. You can buy things to kill them in your yard too. Also they have powders that kill fleas too. Sprinkle it on your carpet and let it sit for a few hours than vacuum it up. I use Frontline Plus on my animals, I have found it to work better than anything else I have tried. Alot of drops just keep the fleas from reproducing but this one kills adult fleas and it is waterproof so it stays on longer.

Give him a bath in BLUE dawn. It works the best at killing fleas, I dont know what makes it better than the other colors but it does. And afterward give him some frontline or advantix, and maybe even a flea collar. If none of this helps, see a vet to get him dipped.

You not only have to treat your dog, you have to treat your house, the dog bedding, the carpet, the yard, etc! For example, if you don't treat the yard (grass, etc) then your dog will go outside and get reinfected then come into the house and so it goes.

Get everything you need, all the supplies, the flea bombs for the house, the spray for the yard, clean the bedding, apply the flea medication to the dog, all at once! Then repeat as necessary. Then - be very cautious where your dog goes and with whom he hangs out...so he doesn't get reinfected yet again!

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

Front line plus has always worked for my two dogs.Flea dip him/her,vacuum every day & use a flea repelant on all the carpets, bedding, pillows etc.don't give up. Don't give him a bath in gasoline.Thats absolutely idiotic. The gas will be absorbed in his skin & kill him. I can't believe this person said such a thing!!!!!

1 plant fennel near the kennel,
2.use diatom powder to comb thru his fur and powder his area keep it out of his eyes and dont breath it, it kills the flea by microscopically cutting them harmless if you dont breath it, its the abrasive in your toothpaste.

I had a cat that was severely allergic to fleas but with Frontline he could even go outside. Package says every month but sometimes we could go every other or even every three.
