I always thought he was a little heavy but I just bought a scale and he's indeed 20 lbs. Is this normal? (that's 80 quarter-pounders!) I don't want him to be overweight because I don't want him to have health problems.

I love the honesty...but i'm kinda disappointed...where are all those who might have said.."de-claw"? And please..believe me..i appreciate the honest answers...but I guess, right now..I'm in a sarcastic mood and that's the FIRST answer I'd have given...(but I'd have added any of those answers I've seen to give pertinent information)......hehe Too many RIGHT answers to vote on a best answer..hehe

hi,i have a beautiful female white cat, shes 4 and i had her since she was very very little.i really "raised" her.i never had such a special feeling with an animal like this.she loves only me and she s very affectionate with me.all the time when i really dedicate time to her (often) and i pet her after a little bit she walks away to see if the dogs are too close then come back then "spy" if she sees them and them when she goes ,she attacks them(not bad though she doesnt scratch them )and she comes back to me to be pet more but its so funny i loveeeee her.why do u think she does that?shes jealous?or she thinks she has to protect me?im convinced she thinks im her mom.thank you

I need some help or advice. Im at my wits end with my kitten. She is 8 months old now. I have two other cats; one is 6 years old and the other one is almost two years old. The two year old was in heat a few weeks ago but now she is fine. then the kitten decided it was her turn to go in heat or at least I think she was in heat because of her moaning and carrying on. well she is okay now except that now she likes to pee on my bed and my sofa and I dont know why or how to stop this. I dont know if it is her way of showing the other two that I am her territory or what is wrong. I love her so much but this has to stop. Help please.

some not so nice guy trapped my 2 cats and dropped them off at the local animal shelter which i like to refer to as the kitty jail well to make a long story short before i got there to rescue my babies the shelter gave them vaccinations and exposed them to a bunch of sickly kitties and after i brought them home after 1 weeks time they developed kitty colds and gave it to my other 2 cats is this normal after going to a shelter to pick something like this up ? has anyone else had this problem?

I adopted two (what I though) were female cats from my boyfriend's cousin and because the larger cat was so fluffy we did not notice that she was really a he. We didn't have the money to get them fixed right away and when they were in heat we thought nothing of it. But now the one cat is pregnant and they never go outside so the only logical explanation is that her brother knocked her up! Does anybody know about health problems that may exist when this happens?

I have an 8 month old kittie, bought her home last year in August. Shes been litter trained, and knew where to go to make her deposits. Today i noticed for the first time, she urinated on the carpet and on the kitchen floor. I change her box when its dirty. What does this mean? Is she sick, or is she telling me something?

Thanks.

Max had shots, bloodwork and monitoring for a limp at the vet today. He's been there all day. 5 hours ago he came home, peed on the floor and hid. My other cat Zoe has been trying to attack him since he has been home. Zoe also tried attacking our other cat Alley, myself and my fiance. What should I do? I have tried to seperate them in rooms, and Zoe seemed to calm down, but as soon as I let him out, he immediately attacked Max. Please help!!!

My friend gave me her two cats in July. About two weeks after I had the cats, one of the cats (not sure which one) started pooping outside the litter box. I laid linolieum and moved the two litter boxes at opposite ends, and now that cats poop right in front of my door. I always change their litter and even moved their food by the front door hoping they would stop...they havent. I dont know what else to do, I am ready to kick their butts out the door. Please help!!!

I feed my cats Purina One dry food eveyday. I stopped using Whiskas canned food as it has too much fat and salt in it for my 10 m/o is a bit over-weight. Sometimes I give them a bit of beef mince or gravy beef with their dry food.

I usually go through 250g (grams) of it per day for the 3 cats. Is that enough food for them or is it too much/too little.

I always have fresh, clean water available for them throughout the day, especially now as it is Summer.

I'm worried that I might be feeding them too much. My 10 m/o cat usually eats the most so sometimes there isn't much left for the little cats.
