We have a kitten we found in the cold and hungry. We brought it in and fed it and it has since made himself at home. The first 2 weeks he was fine, but then he began to get sluggish, loose stools just slipping out of him and he was covered in kaka and wouldn't clean. A friend said to change his food (he was eating adult food). I changed to Purina One Kitten formula and gave him and the other 2 cats de-wroming medicine. It took 2 weeks, but he got his vitality back and does a much better job cleaning himself, but the poo still just plops out. We're getting tired of accidentally stepping in the cold sludge or waing up in bead with crud on our bedding, pillows, hair, and body. Mind you, it's not lots at a time, just small blobs here and there, but it's still gross and unhealthy. Before I pay for a vet bill (or just take hm to the shelter--I don't wanna do that, but I have a 4 yr. old child) I'd like to find out if there's anything else I can try. He uses the box, just no slippage control.
